You mean that it has got leaf springs?
No, it uses a 1 piece axle. Although a lot of cars/vans with solid rear axles do use leaf springs.
I am using coilovers ( shocks/springs combined ) on this car, and a 4-link to mount the axle.
The car did originally have independant rear suspension, similar to a Ford Sierra.

What do you mean when you say live axle?
A live axle is a solid rear axle.
Like MK2 Escort, Ford Capri, Ford Cortina.
Not an independant rear suspension.
So it's an LS1 engine afterall, isn't it?On what car was the engine originally installed ?
hajgabdalt 4 years ago
The engine is bits of everything now, but it's based around a 2001 Camaro LS6 block, with lots of aftermarket bits bolted on :)
Yes, its based around an LS1.
The car used to have a Ford Cologne 2.8 V6 and 3 speed auto.

Wish my Granada was THAT quick.
Can't imagine his transmission lasting too long !!!
Very impressive from a big, heavy old 'Q' ship (Wolf in Sheeps clothing).
