@DJAnnamarie1993 When it comes to adding the lines in the hair, leave the layer on normal mode and draw white lines through the hair ^^ Lower the opacity a bit so the lines look a bit grey. Then you should be able to add shadow and highlights as normal.

@HunterSenechal Download WinZip then Click the "download" button on the Right. Then when Zip comes up, click "Evaluated Version" Then set it aside for now. Go to Start>computer>OS(hard disk drive) > Program files>GIMP>Share>GIMP>2.0(what­ever version you have)>Brushes. Than you go back to Zip and drag it onto your brush file. Hope it helps xDD

@lLoveNeonl it's.. kinda complicated to explain. When you find the brushes on deviantart that you want, go onto download then click open. Then in the window that opens, select extract all files. Another window will open, so click browse (i think) and find your brushes folder, should be under gimp (somewhere) and then you can ok it. Try opening gimp and they should be there. Sorry this is kinda breif but it's hard to explain without actually doing it. Hope it helps x

@xYohrNightmare This isn't for the previewer silleh xD This is how to draw hair for editing, like making your display picture, not developing hair in the previewer. Creating hair that you actually wear on your avatar in chats etc is completely different.

@eaf6701 Ok,im not quite sure what your asking but I think you mean the layers tab.To get that back look at your Toolbox and find the little arrow icon thing by where it says the tool your using,NOT the Mode selection.Then click it and click on 'Add Tab' then find 'Layers' and click that.Hope this helps (:
