The dog is cute but lazy or doesn't care about the bird. My neighbors Shih Tzu used to do that all the time with birds. But let someone come in my back yard and you would have thought there was a war going on. He did that from being a puppy until he died at 17 years old. I sure miss that little dog .

We had a maltese never really him get near the lovebirds although on occasion they would fly into the path of where he was sleeping. If he had the chance he'd probably have attempted to attack it. Most of the interactions came when he was asleep and didn't have much energy.
