  • Thanks for the recipe. I modified it a little and wanted to share it with you and everyone else, if I may. I couldn't find all those different types of beans, so I only used one can of pinto beans. I couldn't find Italian stewed tomatoes, so I used Mexican stewed tomatoes. Instead of Tabasco, I added crushed red pepper. I also added some frozen corn to the stew. It was delicious.

  • @aquafina2u

Thanks for the comment, You made a whole new stew can't wait to try it, Sounds great. I just love cooking , change a little of this and little of that and you have a whole new dish to add to your family cookbook.

  • Ive known this video for 2 years now, and I still say, this is the tastiest and greatest recipe on you-tube; and probably always will be.

  • are you going to make more recipes?

  • hello! nice recipe! :)

just wanna ask, is it okay if we do not roast the chicken earlier?

  • @MsSyth

No you don't have to roast the chicken, I just don't like the taste or smell of boiled chicken. When its slow roasted it has time to cook the flavors into the chicken. But you can do whatever you like bake it, boil it, fry it, grill it, stir fry it, each will add a different taste to the stew. You might want to cut back on the amount of beans my mom loves her beans.

  • Can I use regular oil than garluc oil?

  • @FinalFantasy10RO

You can use any kind of oil you like to cook with, some people cook with butter. Thanks for stopping by.

  • @TooTiredTeacher no no i love watching your stew recipe and im just a boy to begin with... (13 years old) i just want to learn some cooking and i wanna make this stew... thank you for posting ^_^

  • @FinalFantasy10RO I sure you can cook any of my recipes, My 3rd and 4th grade students have cooked all of my recipe with some help. They had fun cooking for their family. Happy cooking.

  • I think the stew was pretty delicious. I added a bit more butter, and a tiny touch of brown sugar. Very good.

  • @pixiesticks007 Sounds good I'll give it a try.

  • yummy

  • @shozy2001 Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.

  • Okay, but bigger chunks of meat and veggies and no beans. Otherwise, thank you.

  • I was waiting for the dumpings or maybe biscuts. Still I have got to give this a try.

  • can you put maccaroni in it

  • I think it could be more beautiful if u added into it a little bit corn flour.

  • @nhhn7sisk

Thanks for the comment I might just have to try that next time I cook it.

  • @nhhn7sisk

I assume this would be to thicken it up a bit, maybe to just about "chowder" status? I love that idea and I'm wondering about how much flour you would add in? Thanks!

  • @Pizztoff it depends on the amount of ingredients u add into the mixture. U can discover it yourself, but remember that before u add flour, u have to mix it with water. Gluck!

  • A very healthy recipe. Its wonderful and easy to make.

  • What If You Just Used Corn Oil? Instead Of Garlic Oil? And Without That Tabasco Sauce?

  • @TheCRIEStal

It will still be great, that whats good about cooking, change it up and my it your own.

  • I think you should turn the heat down, whoa!

  • @GrapeLola

    I cook hot and fast.

  • Nice chicken recipe.

    Thanks for sharing.

I would also like to share some of my chicken recipe collection to you.

    quickiefood.blogspot.com/search/label/Chicken

  • @ShawnaSmoke Thanks for the nice comment, I'm glad you like it, enjoy.

  • A ver well executed video. I hope to make this sometime :)

  • even though we dont have all the stuff u mentioned in my country it still looks yummy. wish i can try this. Hopefully when i travel out of my country, will try it. thanks

  • okay, so I made this yesterday, (except i only used one can of beans) and it only costs just under $10 to make, and it will last a WHILE, maybe even a full week of lunch or dinner. Thanks so much for this recipe, it is a real money saver, and very healthy!

  • @miniixio One can of beans is good, my mom loves the beans so that why I had so many. You can cut the amount on inge. in half so it want be so much. My boys around here eat a lot.

  • @CoasterBeach

My mom said it was healthy.

  • Thanks for stopping by, It's also good with cornbread.

  • yummy im making chicken stew tonight for my children

  • Your right, I start out on high to get everything nice and hot, then turn down and cook on med heat.

  • That looks really good but you should add what temp you are cooking at also.

  • That looks awesome! Great video!

  • eww why so many beans

  • @soup1223 I take it you don't like chilli with beans either.

  • Buitifull, people complaining about the amount of beans seriously beans are buitifull you must try "Rajma" (red kidney bean curry) ..salam

  • @SoundOut260 We like the beans, its almost like a chicken bean chilli.

  • the bean kills it...

  • @koko9544 Then kill the beans.

  • this looks nasty! so much beans i'd have gas for weeks.

  • @pretty23garbage

Leave the beans out or use beano for your gas. Sorry for your gas problems.

  • oh no! this one dish can provide more than 30 families in India and Africa ! It seems to be so expensive ! my one budget in one meal! but i think i will really like it.. can someone tell me how the taste is? is it sweet? sour? or .???

  • @dc5555555

First it's not sweet or sour, it's a stew ,. As for how many it feeds, I make this on the weekend so I don't have to cook the rest of the week, I make cornbread and salad to go with this. It is a large Pot I also share it with some of my single friends who don't cook much. All you have to do is cut the recipe in half. down for your size of family. In the long run it's cheap......as for the families in India or Africa more like 60 families and that would be pretty cheap.

  • @dc5555555 So expensive? It's all basic inexpensive ingredients.

  • i walked past this stuff on Guildford high street last weekend.

  • @Solid5050 I was born in guildford in 1978

  • @matywaldy Me too, 1984, St Lukes Hospital...

  • @Solid5050 Same as,St lukes.Isnt the cathedrel great, dont know if you have watch the film omen, well the scene when damian is crying and going mad in the cars coz he doest want to go in the cathedral, well thats guildfords cathedral

  • @matywaldy I saw it the other day and drove up the same road as in the scene. Do it, it's an eary feeling... some guy got shot on the steps of the cathedral a year or two ago and the head line on the front of the Surrey Advertiser read; COPS SHOOT MAN DEAD AT OMEN CHURCH. Pretty cool eh? The guy was running around the streets with a replica gun pointing it at people and was about to enter the cathedral when the police shot him in the head not knowing it was a fake gun...

  • @matywaldy Nice to meet you my fellow Guildfordian, i'm quite proud of our city. It has an amazing history and great scenery in places...i get home sick if i'm away for too long.

  • mmmmmm this can be placed on some white rice! yum!

  • @twnks13 Great idea! I love rice.

  • @twnks13 oh no! this one dish can provide more than 30 families in India and Africa ! It seems to be so expensive ! my one budget in one meal! but i think i will really like it.. can someone tell me how the taste is? is it sweet? sour? or .???

  • this looks really healthy

  • I love it with the beans, and it was ok without them too. Personally I thought it was much better with them. This recipe was great, seeing we had tons of left over turkey we made it with roasted turkey instead of chicken and it was wonderful. Thanks for the great recipe look forward to watching more over the new year.

  • Thank you for the video, im a new wife and im definitely trying this tonight! Thanks again and happy holidays

  • In my opinion I think there's TOO MANY BIG BITS. "/

  • @GhanaiianChickStarh It's stew not soup are baby food.

  • I have mine simmering right now! Just have to wait for the veggies to cook! Can't wait to eat it!!!! I didn''t use beans though... because I don't like them much.. But I put chickpeas in instead.. and I didn't add the chili or tabasco either. Not abig fan of acid indigestion. ahahha. But I followed the rest of the recipe exactly. I hope it turns out! THANKS!

  • One can of beans is ok....not three. Um, I wouldn't add the liquid from the bean cans because it has too much salt, it's better to rinse the beans. Also she didn't add any herbs or spices. It looks like a good base recipie that could be a lot better with some changes.

  • @Atsume1020 season to taste- garlic, salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce, Tabasco sauce is in the recipe use the drop down, that's how we do it in the south. If that's toooo many bean leave some out. You would be suprise how goooood it is if you tried it.

  • I love your video but the dish has way too many beans for my liking!

  • @29render It's great also without the beans. Make it the same way without the beans, it will be even quicker.

  • Holy smokes.... Imagine the amount of gas a person's gonna have.. :)

  • @Adrian001994 Thats why they make Beano, just add a little to any bean dish and it will cut down the gas. :)

  • Looks great!!

  • that is more like stwe beans with chicken XD

  • @KILLAHARTLESSKILLA Yes I did go a little overboard with the beans. That was my bean period. Since cooking is an art.

  • @TooTiredTeacher yea if thats how one likes it.....WHY NOT!!!

  • awsome this is what i plan to cook for dinner tommorow. though I think im going to just use half of all 3 cans of beans, and probally just a little, very little bit of tobasco. but looks good. Hope it comes out like yours =) thanks for the video!!!

  • @yankeepunk3000 You could use just one can of beans, I did go overboard with the beans, but I did make sweet cornbread to eat with it , it was like a bean stew with chicken, It was tasty. put as much as the tobasco you can hadle and it will still taste great.

  • @TooTiredTeacher thanks alot I just put half of each can. came out pretty good my girl liked it alot. thanks for the upload. oh and i did put more chicken though =) lol

  • yeah like i just watched this

  • i tried it .. step by step .. came out great ...Thanxxx

  • Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to learn how to cook and this video was so helpful. I cooked for my boyfriend and my parents. They loved it, but I substituted Ranch style beans for chili beans bc I couldn't find Ranch style at the store. Chili beans worked out great. Again thanks

  • ugh roasted chicken in a stew?? no way

    boil the chicken !!!

i'd never put beans in a stew, BEANS ???? :\

  • @mark17781 Looks like you picked the wrong video to watch. Sorry. Like I tell my students make it your own. Boil your chicken, leave the beans out, go for it. I bet it wil be great. Have a great stewy night.

  • @TooTiredTeacher looking back at my post i seemed ignorant there, sorry.

exactly, everybody has their own unique way of making stews.. and i like the way you encouage your students to experiment on their own, best way of learning.

  • @mark17781 Not ignorant, like I tell my students, be open to try new things before saying no way. You might find something new you might like. believe it or not I got my students to eat a banana sandwich, all 25 students love it even the ones that say " No way Mrs. Baker, that's gross" after seeing all the other students trying it, they (2) tried it and was surprised they liked it. P.S. my sister will not eat the stew with beans in it either. :)

  • can i add baked beans?

  • @Qetesh23 You can add any kind of beans you like. Make it you own, change it up as much as you want. Put in what you like and keep out what you don't. Toodles :)

  • @Qetesh23 You can add any kind of beans you like best it will all taste great.

  • hi , i have a blog to share different ways how to cook chicken. Is it ok for me to share this video in my blog?

  • @howcookchicken Yes you may use my video on your blog. Sorry it took so long to reply back. Have a wonderful week.

  • honestly i thought it wld have been too many beans as well, but once it was all made, I realized there werent too many- Just enough. BTW it turned our very good. My family loved it! Thanks:)

  • @xxceciannxx Glad you stopped by, Thanks for the comment. You might want to try the chicken and yellow rice next. Have a wonderful week.

  • hi, i've a few questions to ask:

    1) whats the differences between stew and soup?

    2) can i replace butter with cooking oil?

    thank you

  • @shinobi880127 Yes to the oil. Stew is the thicker. Stews can be simply described as "hearty soups," with meats and vegetables, including potatoes. A stew is usually considered a main dish. The liquid in a stew is minimal. Soups can be eaten hot or cold. Stews are almost always consumed hot. Ingredients in a stew are always chunkier and more abundant, while a soup can be basically a water base with just a few pieces of vegetables.

  • You are so organized! I never know what's going into the pot until I wander around and figure it out!

  • @NancyToday

I don't have to wander too far, everything is just in reach. What is hard is writing down the recipes, My grandmother taught me how to cook so the recipes are in my head. She cooked by taste and things that went good together, and how big the pot was. She picked the pot size by how many were going to be eating.

  • It Looked good all the way to the beans!

  • @TheTyC91

Like I tell my students take the idea and make it you own. Keep the beans out and I bet it will taste just as good. Thanks for the comment.

  • Great recipe! It was called "white chili" when I had it before.

  • Someone's going to be farting all weeklol

  • @Reader90909 to help you with that you can always add beano, it cuts down on the gaso.LOL It true!

  • @Reader90909 lmao ahahahahaahahaha thats funny

  • @Reader90909 LMAOOOOOOO

  • instead of garlic oil can i put garlic paste or powder?

  • @dam3pal3tapapi you can use paste or powder, I added garlic powder also. I love garlic.
