It's a complicated answer. I'd recommend reading about the ritual in Aleister Crowley's Book IV. Basicaly you're creating a Magickal space to work in, balencing elemental enegies, etc. There isn't space here to even begin a good explanation. Study!Good luck.

The drawing of the hexagram triangles are wrong. They should be drawn counter-clockwise, never clockwise. There are also steps to remember if this is to be a banishing ritual and not an invoking ritual. Hint: breathing at the right times, and using Sign of Silence at the right time..

WhoWorksInSilence, Note the title of the ritual is Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram.Not Lesser Banishing Ritual. Typically the Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram is perfomed after a banishing ritual like the LBRP and is good for setting the elemental energies right either for the magician or as a backdrop for a working. Any hexagram or pentagram ritual can be either invoking or banishing depending on the direction of the movements. Had I intended this as a banishing you would have been correct.
