LOVE YOUR ACCENT! But this video really helped me out. Basically my dad gave me x-amount of money to go get an ipod and accessories, my main use for it will be to use in my car so I'm leaning towards the 8gb and a fm transmitter, but I was lookin on the apple website and I can get a refurbished 80gb classic for $170 so I'm thinking about that as an option as well, but I've heard that the higher the gig the more likely it is to crash...Thoughts? Suggestions?Anybody??lol

all the actual iPods with screen DO allow Video Playback (eye killing on Classic and nano)

But Apple do sell Video Out cables (pricey but working well)

and the Universal docks do have a remote so you basically plug the dock into your TV and on the USB power adaptor, you "dock" your iPod/iPhone and play the video from your couch (as well the music but there is no on TV controls)

In my opinion, the new Nano has one of the worst designs Apple has ever made. The form is good, but the screen- it's curved. Which means light reflects off the sides of it. Making it very hard to watch movies. Apple is becoming so serious about being able to watch videos on your iPod, yet they build a device with a screen that WILL glare. I've already seen the glare in hands-on reviews. Which is why I'm sticking with my 3rd gen Nano.

I completely agree with tiy. The nano's are going to sell like crazy. If I didn't have an iPhone, I would definitely get a nano. I would go with the silver with black scroll wheel. Also, I think in the next generation of Nano, the apps will be playable on the nano, now it has a bigger screen.

ya, I'm with you on the new nano's, they look amazing, have amazing features, and pack an excellent capacity for the price... granted I still placed my order for a 32GB Touch within 10min of the end of the event, but that's because I need the added multi-touch functionality (it will serve as my personal organizer in addition to storing my music/videos/etc.).

The keynote and the new itunes 8 and the new nano and the new touch with built in speaker was awesome. Anyone who says the event was a bust DOESNT HAVE A CLUE. HD movies from iTunes adn more. this is great, another step forward. If people look they will see how great the event was. And dont worry, we still have a new apple product coming this year. No itunes subscription either, YEAAAAAAAAA! sub service is a rip to me. IMO.

I love the new Nano, it was a big mistake to go for the short fat one and I'm glad Apple has realised this and gone back to the design they are renowned for. Also the curved back on the new Nano and iPhone and Touch makes it much nicer and more comfortable to hold in your hand.
