- As to woodgatejack's suggestion of Richard E Grant and Paul McGann, those are the two I pictured the entire time I read the book. (That's probably because I had just seen them in Withnail and I though, but those characters interact much the same way as Aziraphale and Crowley, so...)

Tim Roth and Gary Oldman would be perfect for Aziraphale and Crowley. If you saw them in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, you'd know that either of them could play either role, though Gary Oldman would be more fun as Aziraphale. Nicole Kidman would do well as War. Terry Pratchett could do a cameo as the International Express delivery guy.

I have to disagree there... Ruperet Everet as Aziraphale (intelligent, gay appearance) Adrian Grenier as Crowley (tall, right age, good looking, tanned, would work well as the demon)... Morgan Freeman to do a cameo as God at the end. I'm still casting the others, though Nicole Kidman would be perfect as War... the janitor from scrubs could be one of the dukes of hell... EXCELLENT... haha

The Them are played by the kids from "The Adventures of Pete and Pete", and i love Richard E. Grant too! But i haven't seen much of Paul to be that decisive on him, but i'd bet he'd be Azriphael though.

All the same, I don't think that it'll make a good movie. Wouldn't do for mere humans to play the immortals... no one fitting to play His Awesomeness Aziraphale... Death here was awesome, but the funniest was this Aziraphale version, who looked absolutely gay
