  • This makes so much sense and is such a simple technique, I can't wait to put the idea into practice. Thanks for the tips!

  • This looks really good, can't wait to try it.

  • nice tips mate !! i just made 5 pinks with cueball on yellow spot in a row . not bad eh!!

  • @ribhkum Hi there, & yes that's really cool , keep up the practice & try to put what you have learnt into your match game. cheers, K

  • LOL when watching this technique i thought it would be great, i played a hole game doing it, i lost to a person i normally come very close to or beat (i lost by 30 points...) But i admire you as a person trying to help people, keep it up

  • @langston001ify .. Hi there, I hope you only used the "technique" & not actually placed a red ball in front of every shot as one guy did?

You have to "imagine" the ghost ball in front of the object ball to aid learning potting angles.

  • @kevy62 yeah yeah, i was doing it right, but just needed practice, used it yesterday, thrashed my friend, cant beleive i was missing something so easy, thanks dude!

  • Great tip im just starting out playing snooker, this should definately help me on my way Thanx B.

  • i always able to pot the hard shots but wen i try n pot the black i 70% miss everytime

  • Hi there, perhaps you could practice just potting the black ball only. (no reds)

first from it's own spot, then from every spot on the table, 3 pots from each colour position in every session should do it, this should get you over the problem quite quickly, good luck & let me know how you get on. cheers, K.

  • wow im gonna try this thanks very much

  • Hi thanks for these tips, they really improved my potting all round. Great vids :)

  • Hi K, thanks for this tips. I'm starting playing snooker (me and my father loved watching the competitions) and need them to improve (I'm still very bad at it, but it's a matter of time)... so thanks and I'll follow your tips!!

  • Hi ....K

  • Hi Steven, well done! thanks for your comments & keep practicing. most of all ,enjoy it, cheers...K

  • another question do u think if i pracitced alot recently nd its making me play rather odd that ive been over doing it? i was missing alot easier shots than usual ever since i started to practice ALOT thanks

  • Yeah don't practise, you'll be better that way.

  • thx mate im sure this will help

  • Im a beginner, thanks for the tips :D

  • You are very welcome, let me know how you get on...K

  • are we allowed to put a red ball to measure the other ball when competition????

  • Hi there, ..No! this is only for use in lone practice, so you can learn the angles of the pot.

    good luck..K

  • im 11 and i dont play on a full size table , mines 5 .4 foot and the balls and cues are pretty light .... why cant i get any backspin/screw on the white?

  • hi there, do keep trying, but if i understand you correctly, You have very small object balls, these will not have the weight required to play a full range of shots.

it sounds to me like you are ready to progress to standard size balls?

if these are too expensive, or won't fit your table's pockets, then perhaps a set of new pool balls would do, these can be bought for about £5.00 on ebay.

failing that, you could join a snooker club as a junior member.

    good luck....K

  • i'm 12 and i'm good. but your tips made me even better tyvm m8 keep it going

  • hi there, thanks very much for your input, do remember, practice makes perfect...K

  • see snooker tips #11

  • I always have trouble with the black on its spot!

  • hi there, If you are missing the black ball a lot from the spot, then perhaps swap it for a red instead during practice.

It's possible you could just be adding pressure to the shot by it being the black.

    (blackitis)

So practice using reds or other colours placed on the black spot, until you have the confidence in your own ability, good luck....K

  • this video is aimed at the beginner , in order to help to get used to finding the angle of aim to pot / sink the object ball in practice.

for positional play , checkout my other videos.

  • thks for the tip! I'm a beginner. should I just imagine hitting the red ball in order to get next shot? What does it mean by potting?
