I just think Albel wants to know if Fayt hates him or not. He probably had another nightmare, couldn't go back to sleep, then decided to deprive Fayt of his sleep too and ask since he was just wondering.
Japanese people don't know how to show emotion when they voice act, just saying.
@TheTranquilMadness Fayt's voice-acting is better in Japanese than it is in english, at least in this PA. Albel's voice-acting is horrible, but in the english version his voice-acting is awesome (THANK YOU CRISPIN FREEMAN!!! <3). But, anyway, I usually despise yaoi, I reject it completely unless the character was created gay and is known to be gay. I hate it especially when they try to put guys who certainly look/act straight-as-a-line, like Albel or Cliff.
i think the best part is still the receptionist's comment about the night having been fun and all...

i´m a big FayBel fan.. i just say the whole thing is all about subtext (just remember the ending where albel complains about being kicked in the night. they´re sleeping outside... there´d be plenty of room to just seperate their sleeping places, wouldn´t it?

To get Albel as your first optional partner, you must stay in the Peterny Inn between the time Albel joins your party after you get him out of the dungeon and before you defeat Crosell. During the cut scene, tell him "Not really." Make sure you don't go to Lucien and Lezard's house in Surferio during that time, or you'll get Roger instead. Getting Nel means you did neither of these things. You can always get him as your last member if you turn down Peppita later, though it's harder.
EEEE!!!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Souichiro Hoshi's voice. That would be Fayts voice, btw. I am a proud fan of the pairing of AlFay, even BEFORE I knew this scene even existed. My first fanfic read with these two wasn't even any near being related to this scene. I had just recently met Albel at the Kirlsa training facility when I became a fan of the pairing. And I became a fan before I even read any stories or saw any fan art. I've barely even seen any fan art even now. Lots of fanfic though
I like them both too, but I'm a big fan of his English VA, so I'm kinda biased. XD And yeah, I think the fangirls tend to blow this scene out of proportion, but fans of other couples do it the same with other scenes...and I do it too... So I can't really complain. XD;
It's just how separate people think. I analyze things to the point where even Draco with harry is CANON. Yeah. Not that I'm a fan of possible pairings I see. I can pair everyone with anyone in my mind in books and movies I've read and seen all the way. I just randomly get an image out of nowhere then BAM I analyze to the point where in my mind, it feels true. I never really remember how I paired people once I get my mind set on one pair.
