That is what I was afraid of when I tested the the mounts. I did have it "Strapped it" just in case. I did go with mount #2. =)

What kind of Burgman does your hubby ride?

There great bikes and I love mine.

I like B, the permanent mount. We took a nearly brandy new Tom Tom suction cupped to the windshield of my husband's Burgman. BAD idea, really bad idea. We hopped on the freeway and within a quarter mile lost the whole thing. Later that day we went back and ran across 3 lanes of traffic to the center median to pick up what was left. It was totally unfixable. Love your videos keep up the great work.

I have a suction cup mount on my Garmin in my car, and under extremely hot days, it will lose suction and fall onto the dash. You're much better off using the "permanent" mount screwed to your dash. Looks like I'm a bit late in helping out, but just had to add that tidbit.

the second one is definitely better. I don't like the disc thing, I want to be able to just stick it to the windshield on the jeep and be done with it. (Got a 255 the other day..) I guess I'll use the disc, and just get a ram-mount setup for the VFR. You know thats the same unit Wilson has, right?

I thought about getting the RAM mount, still might but two things.

1. To use the "U" clamp handlebar, I would have to cut or completely take off the plastics.

2. Get a brake reservoir cover, a RAM ball. Swing arm and another RAM bracket for the GPS. Little too much expense right now. :-(

Australian, British and American English voice prompts? Funny that they went through the trouble to install all that. I've never had one of these things, though. Maybe it's common.

Speaking of Australian, the dash of your scooter is beginning to resemble the one in brotherblonde's Boeing 767! :)

Second mount. I went to my local Radio Shack and asked about getting a re-furbished unit. The store owner said there weren't any left.

I think the 2nd mount is better, it looks better and it looks like you can't see your speedo as good with the suction mount. Nice lil GPS unit!
