right iv done all the steps on here but when iv renamed the program .m4r and clicked on it to play in itunes it playes but dosent show up under my iphones ringtones, its just not there?? any ideas why. cheers laura

ok listen when u do this go to the iphone settings ..next to ur iphone picture on itunes click the bar down go to the top and look for ringtones go to sync and click all of them then go to the top of the itunes and the folder will say ringtones drag them to ur phone then they will show up .....if u have any other trouble with ringtones and it doesnt work or still dont get it call apple and they will help u in 5 minutes

You have to cut the time on the song down to about 30 second clips.

first pick song

second convert to AAC

third go to get info on converted song

forth change start/end time to desired area KEEP IT TO ABOUT 30 SECS.

fifth convert that to AAC.

then pick up on video where he copies it to desktop and renames it.

it worked fine after i put the first one in

but after i put the second one, it duplicates one of them and the otehr one is no wherer in sight and the duplicate copy plays the same thing as the copied ring tone

there is a very easy way to do this with macs, and you can even choose what part of the song is your ringtone, how long it lasts, ect. respond to this comment (so i'll get an email) and ill explain/post a video up on youtube on how to do it. NOTE: IT WILL BE FREE TO MAKE THE RINGTONE
