  • How do you Run the Extreme PhysX Maps without an Ageia Card? I can run the Normal maps at 1920x1080 (VSync on) and I'm getting 50-60 Frames Average so I wanna test the "Extreme" maps

  • I don't see the big flag. Didn't see blood either.

The flag and the fluid are more computing demanding Physics features. Trowing a few dozen boxes around a CPU can handle. Alto it attract the player attention more.

If you want to claim CPU can handle it to, enable full PhysX features.

    And it can't handle it.

  • yeah!, the blood of NOBODY is what you want to see?

The big flag very computing demanding?

No, the VERY HUNDREDs of particles and fragments of the HUNDREDs of elements of this map is the more demanding.

This game was released about two years, and I saw a incredible slowdown of CPU performance in the final release vs beta.

The final release of this map had very less elements that the beta map, and ran more slowly.

Man, this game (full of shit) is all about AGEIA propaganda. xD

  • I have played CF:CD in LAN everything enabled. PPU works. After newer PPU drivers, FPS hit got much less. CPU can't handle that. in those day's!

Running it with no NPC make no sense. It's only perpouse is to put PPU in a bad light by extreemly reducing Physics load. And to whine CPU can do it to.

Now my Ci7 can do it 2 years after that. But then agian PPU2 or gen 3 on 65 to 40nm and new PhysX game utilizing it. Would be the time for now.

Well nV GPU took there places. That works to.

  • do you think i can do that with the full version of the game???

  • laggy buts is cool.. cannots wait until teh gam3s gets moar particles and moar physicz. cool vid kthx

  • it looks similar to star wars the force unleashed , is good to know this game was part made in colombia :D

  • the force unleashed looks very fun =D

  • looks like its coded better then crysis, crysis would lag like hell with all that stuff flying around at once

  • but then again crysis desont use agia

  • thats a fake ._.

  • This isn´t a fake, fool.

It´s a record of the map of Cellfactor Demo, without bots.

You shouldn´t talk about what do you don´t know.

  • My pc can handle this but i don't have a ppu. HOW DO YOU DO THIS. I have tried running the editor and playing it there but it still gave me the: YOu need a physx accelerator error

  • This is the demo version, not the final release of the game.

The final release is very much slower(around 0.5x speed) than the demo when you execute this with the same map and conditions (In fact, a simplified version of the map in the final release)without Ageia card. This is very suspect.

You have to make some modification to the demo´s shortcut.

Add to the path of the shortcut "EnablePhysX=false".

  • Can you give me an exact link or something for the demo release.

  • How do you run cellfactor without ageia hardware?

  • :S this is weird ive got a evga 7900 gto, 2 gigs of ddr2 800, a amd athlon 64 x2 6000 at 3.0 and it still doesnt run this fluently, how does it run when u use bots?

  • hey type in you path at the shortcut at cell factor " EnablePhysX=false"

  • does that work for the cell factor revo. ??

  • This is the demo release, not the final version.

The final release is more slower than the demo version, despite having more simplified versions of maps.

  • Nice Vid. What PC you have?

  • its an XFX nVidia GeForce 6800 Extreme 256MB GDDR3. though it does have dual proccessing units, so double the pwer =D.

  • Well, im running CellFactor without PhysX and it plays great, The curtain does fall to pieces for me, and as i said i dont have a PhysX card. Sys Specs. = AMD Athlon 2.6ghz 4000+, 1gb ram, nVidia GeForce 6800xt. no overclocking. And i run the game on max settings. so i dont know what the PhysX card does besides give you campaign and 3 more maps.

  • are you sure about the graphics card? how much video ram does it have?

  • with ageia pyhsics card you can shoot the curtain thing and it falls to peices but without it doesnt

  • wow! im going to spend £80 on some hardware so i can shoot some cloth!, Bring on Quad core.

  • I got a 8800 clocked gtx. 768mb. Gainward and i got my Frames stable at 43 -45 fps.. E6600 and p5n-e sli withou t 64-bit. GOing to install 64-bit today ,. so i'll see if it gets any diffrent.

  • it's not bad without AEGIA.But i don't see a difrence

  • i played this game on my computer and i had just 20frames...

    e6400 @ 2.13ghz

    2x 1gb samsung 667mhz

    8800 gts 640mb

    gigabyte 965p-s3

    direct x 9.0c

  • The super cloth is probably the hardest thing without a physX card.

    WRMM

  • is everything at maximum?

  • Though I wish that realistic physics card ability was demonstrated with games that actually simulate reality. That was just debris and loose models on a static world, and more like a souped up "Counterstrike of the Jedi Knights" - I'd love to see a game that actually simulates the body of the action hero you play instead of these gliding Dalek turrets that look like humans on the outside - not even moving like ones, to boot!

  • i see ... it also runs nice without any PhysX Graphics-Card !

  • Don't people read previous comments anymore -_-

how can it run nice when 2/3rds of the physics are disabled?

  • Try running with the cloth, fluids, or soft bodies without the PPU. When you get 30+ fps with all features, then brag. The cloth is like 200 simulated verticies. Also, other games fake cloth with a small grid that bounces around. This tears and stretches. That takes more math.

  • im confused. whats a physX card? is it different from a video card or is it part of a video card?

  • AM2 or 939?

  • Also I have looked at GPU accelerated physics,

although it is more effective than CPU physics it is not as impressive as PhysX. The performance is lousy around 100,000 convex-convex collisions, it still requires the CPU for 'real' collision detection, cloth physics are so far none existent, it is only suitable for SLI or high end GPU systems due to the pixel pipeline requirements...

Havok FX, at least in version 1.0, is not as good as PhysX.

  • The cloth in the CellFactor cannot really be compared with the cloth in other games. If you look at a cloth banner that moves around the player in a game like Oblivion it is far less flexible, lower subdivisions reduces the realism with how the cloth reacts to physical objects and wind physics. Added with highly accurate procedural cloth tearing it would be very difficult to reproduce these affect in CPU accelerated games.

  • Tommorow CLOTH are on players on hair on grass on tree on leaves...

(in other games with decent cloth effect the speed is well running by soft.)BULLSHIT the cloth effect is calculate by ageia driver..CELLFACTOR had the same cloth effect that any other game... BUT any other game are not run on XBOX 360, so their are probably NOT OPTIMISED FOR SOFTWARE MODE... bye bye

  • Bullshit? oh man! Do you think that this make good your argumentation?

    And, what do you say?

Cloth is cloth, no hair or grass or nothing more, their properties are different. You are ignoring that everything of this things are rendered by the 3d hardware, no by AGEIA chip. What that AGEIA calculates these if you can´t render this?

The future is in GPUs and multicore, not in garbage chips with propietary APIs. Bye also.

  • MDR PHISIX CLOTH EFFECT the hightest are disable.. HDR also... easy to run cellfactor without PPU when the bigest effect are not present.. wath a descover ^^

  • First, pardon by my english:

The HDR is a graphic effect, nothing related with physics Card, only graphic card. And no, this video is with full HDR, VODKAKYO.

The Cloth effect is very slow without AGEIA, but this could be a issue with the game, because in other games with decent cloth effect the speed is well running by soft.

Remember that this game has Ageia´s physic API, and AGEIA´s API isn´t a neutral API in this subject.

  • what is a PhysX Card and what does it do?

  • PhysX is a card that enables next gen physics.

For instance, you cant have physical water without physX
