  • How would I cite this video for my paper?

  • Going to school for this next year. So pumped.

  • @TheThreeTittiedCow good luck bro. that's fuckin awesome.

  • 2:43 Is that Edison I hear?

  • going to school next month for this at Commerical Divers Academy

  • dangerous job but somebody's gotta do it

  • an average underwater welder makes aprox 2 to 300 hr

  • hello, i was wondering what the starting salary of (dry and wet) underwater welding was? also, i was wonderin if i could get some more information on it? do you have to move out of your area? how long is the average person on a ship for? thank you and please let me know.

  • Your career is about 5 yrs long your body is destroyed and your retna is shot.

  • What an awesomely BAD ASS job!!! those guys doing this job are real hot shots!

  • what type of education should you get to be able to do this job?

  • This is utter madness. A civilization that relies on this kind of activity for its sustenance will sooner or later run into serious problems.

  • @jayantpraharaj lol wat u on about you fucking spastic

  • @jayantpraharaj this is my company and job. I love it

  • take a psp when ur in a chamber

  • This is a common misconception of underwater welders. Most underwater welders are actually commercial divers studied a two week welding course.

  • @welderchick85

yah you can take a 2 week welding course but that dosent make u a welder we call them rod burners cause thats all they learn. I am an underwater welder who did welding first and the difference is that we can weld on land with any type of metal or job.

  • I wanna be an underwater welder when im older!

  • @joemann1313 it pays a ton

  • that was great thanks, 2 people need to go watch videos on hair-dressing... or something!

  • lol im training right now to become a commercial diver, the pay sucks (at first) your pay isnt written in stone its all about experience and what you do, its true welding is only a small aspect of what we do most of the time inshore is just removal of cars, forklifts and cranes from rivers and lakes or the laying of piping of cement pillars. off shore is where the real money is but that only because you save everything while your on the rig you dont actually make that much.

  • @hobbs197 offshore rates start at 18 an hour, and you wont be diving for about 3 years, the pay is because your working 84 hours a week.... offshore sucks

  • I'm not into this industry, but what I've heard something similar as deepdiver86 said. Sometimes you'll be off for a week and work for a week. I've heard alot of stories about oil rigs in Norway that can pay good money, but the currency ountry itself is really expensive and if you live there it's almost like a normal job.

  • i am a commercial diver for the 1456 union in ny, people dont realize that welding is a very minimal part of this industry, we're not welders, we're divers that can weld... and also dont believe all the hype about how much money youll make, starting average pay inland is around 18-23hr off shore its around 17 to tend and 20 to dive.... this industry sucks, unless your in the union, or a sat diver

  • @deepdiver1986 thats good pay here in the south where my cost of living is a 1/3 of yours

  • @deepdiver1986 I live in Michigan and I've heard of ex Navy divers who became underwater welders and earn about 100,000 a year. But, then I hear what you are saying on you tube. So you dn't know any divers making really good money?

  • @CMink7777 like i said, it depends where you work, the first 3 years dont expect to make more that 40k a year... if you get into the union (which is very hard to) youll make about 80-120 a year... a SAT diver makes 168k a year

  • haha i want this job so bad i'm only a sophomore in high school but i'll get there this is my dream job cant w8 thanx for the vid :))

  • @lilsweetfeetbro their are alot of under water welding jobs?

  • storm4chase, this is the kind of person that gives all welders a bad name, calling them rednecks, roughnecks, hicks. They are no different than a normal person with a special skilled job, just because someone is a country boy/girl and has that life style makes them no better than the innercity welder. End this stereotype crap, seriously.

  • Where do you find the rest of the sections to this?

  • @dlewjr Finally have another uploaded. Check my page. Planning to get the other 2 up soon.

  • I betchya I would turn around and zap that damn barracuda.

  • surely he doesnt mean 10,000 feet deep.

  • god this job is just so awesome

  • Yes go to google and type in Underwater welding schools there are a few around. NJ has a great school. Be aware its not your every day happy go lucky job its for hard core roughnecks!

  • @storm4chase wow thats wierd i was just looking for schools and thats the one i wanted it's in eniel nj i wrote down everything for it

  • dont the fish get electric shocks? or do they have to get much closer?

Anyone know were you can search an education for this kind of job?

  • someone should tell the barracuda to not stare at the arc

  • @chizzy555 lmfao

  • How the fuck can fish be an obstacle for electrical welders? If the mask is on, you cannot see them, therefore, they are not interfering with the welding, nor can they make you jump, if the mask is off, there is no danger, therefore, jumping is perfectly acceptable.

  • Exactly. Somebody needs to PAY for that statement.

  • @LucienLachance007 fish could easily swim in the way blocking your field of view, or bump into you.

  • insane

  • wow this is kool. that wud be fun for girls or guys.

  • excellent work!

  • is there a part 2?

  • Spraypaint the Faceplate black, then go underwater. That's Inland diver training. Don't forget to screw your nuts on before you jump.

  • Wow that habitat is a pretty cool idea.

  • great vid strayed to close to the charged anodes on a pier you can see them gassing like a charging battery cell makes your face twitch and fillings tingle!

  • thanks to this video its very interesting

  • Comment removed

  • Check out Nat Poly university in California

  • First of all you need to be a strong swimmer, and be able to dive, and feel conformable in small tight spaces.

  • youre definitely right,,thtas the basic dude...

  • I had thought about continuing my training in the underwater arena. This video answered many questions. Thanks
