"Does Bill Frank worship the devil?" That can be run, by anyone, and it changes the debate and Bill Frank has to answer it, but the ad is run by some group that sounds legitimate: "Citizens for the Truth" or something. They may actually be funded by a corporation or union, but we now have no way of knowing. No disclosure.
I support the SC's decision but I also know that you average american voter is very ignorant of politics and the details of issues. Far too many, maybe even a majority vote based on a soundbite.
