@GamingForLife96 if you're on an sli rig i7 will out perform a 6 core AMD. AMD will probably have faster processors sooner or later it's always back and forth between AMD and intel but AMD has been slacking hard since the athlon 64 x2 came out.

These went down in price recently. EVGA had them for $319, but are sold out. I just bought one on Tiger Direct for $220. after rebate--still over 400 clams on Newegg. Sandy Bridge CPU line is coming out next year--different socket too--but components for X58 line are coming down. Intel is dropping i7 950 from $600. to $300 at the end of August. Still plenty of life left in the X58 platform I'm thinking--especially when fueled with high end components like the classified board.
