  • I've never heard this piece played so beautifully, and I've heard it quite alot.

  • What a nice trill he has

  • What a talent. Great purity mixed with the dramatic. He was a great violinist and an exceptional artist.

  • Somebody can tell me the name of this melody of Bach?

    I really need it =(

  • In the book I have it's called "gavotte en rondeau" from Partita no. 3.

  • There is a great deal of sorrow in Ferras' playing of the Gavotte that I have never heard anywhere else. Heifetz is the only other violinist I have felt that from. Ferras truly has an incredible gift and I just wish he hadn't committed suicide so early in his life. RIP.

  • Really? I didn't get that so much from this...(well not before I read your comment anyways). It is certainly not as pretentiously charming as some other interpretations.

  • Alot of his recordings have a TON of anger(some) and sorrow(ALOT) in them.

Like the second movement of the Sibelius!!! OH my that's makeing me cry every time

  • i love how he vibrates those A-B double stops

    wonderful

  • hell! i'd wished i hadn't seen this, 'cause now i know what it means to truly know one's limitations.

  • absolutely amazing

  • This is amazing, I never knew Ferras was such a great Bach interpreter. Somebody posted a video of the prelude btw.

  • Wonderful.
