Yes the 80's. The best decade for music ever. Lots of talented people came out not only in US but from all over the world. Even though some are just one hit wonders but at least they've hit the top chart and contibuted something for the world to enjoy and reminisce good memories. Thanks a lot artists of the 80's. You've shown a good example on how music is supposed to be done and for others to follow.

@knightshadow2075 I think because of the economic boom of the 80s, record companies thought they could try every kind of artist they can find. So the envelope of music types ballooned during the 80s. Every type of music was there, even those that would later be renamed ambient, house, techno, new age, etc. By the 90s recession set in, and so the companies had to choose the more popular ones, which by this time was hip hop and R&B, and that stuck.

Make no mistake, 80s is the best decade ever!

@chinocracy i totally agree the 80's is historically the most important era, so many melodies, early genres of music, such inspiration and creativity. The 90's was ok but lost same melodies, the 00's lost the plot musically, which is why we always go back to 80's. The 80s music will be around for decades and decades

good comment. i agree the 1980s had true diversity with all types of music being heard. now there is only diversity in what the band members look like.
