Nice, nice... The arrangement is great. Ther performance, though... you shouldn't have auto-tuned.... over production kills a cappella. Part of the charm of the art form is the little imperfections here and there (like a Navajo rug, see?). For reference for good acoustic a cappella, please see Pentatonix (PTX!!). I know you're just one guy, but you could try to limit your editing to some light reverb and multi tracks. That's it. Can you take that challenge? :)

@ric7044 - Peter Hollens does NOT autotune. Go listen to Lullaby. You sound just a bit like a troll for some other artist - it's amazing how critiques like yours show up, almost like clockwork, whenever Peter's views start to increase.

He's released a couple of songs without digital tuning, but most of them, like the VAST majority of professional a cappella music, do have some digital tuning. To say that someone uses Autotune or Melodyne on their tracks isn't a critique. It's just an observation. ("Shouldn't have", on the other hand, is definitely a critique... but that's a separate issue.) :)

And just looking at comments on Hollens' videos and on Tompkins', 1 thing I find rather amusing:

On Peter's videos it's full of yelling comments ''MIKE IS BETTER!". Which of course Peter-fans react with ''NO HES NOT!''.

Whereas on Mike's vids no comments as above (vice versa). When Peter-fans watch Mike's vids no one ever comments that. For they just keep it to themselves.

Shows what kind of listeners both singers have!

Keeping it real, Peter's voice carries a much fuller tone and vibrato than does Mike - and that's just the technical piece to it. Saying someone is better is very subjective - why not be just fine with saying you like Mike's version better? For myself, I prefer Peter's version of every song he has done so far . . . just saying

He has been involved with collegiate a cappella, recording, producing & judging international competitions since 1999. I respect your opinion on who you like better, but i dont agree with your comment that peter stole it from mike. They are both talented but i personlly like and respect peter more.
