Like! My name is Kyle too, and I love collecting and studying Radioactivity and Radioactive Materials, and I'm a huge collector! I have 2 1" and 3 1/2" Uranium marbles, you have what looks like a "Nuke-Jar" or Uranium-238 Oxide "doped" marbles. They definitely respond to the UV flashlight like mine do! Awesome! Hope you get more for your collection! The highest source I have is a Radium "Button", and it gives off ~1mSv/h! B & y only! When I get better from my illness someday, I'll post mine! A+!
I have a Vaseline (uranium) glass flower frog that makes my DRSB-01 go crazy. You can find at least a few things at a antique sale that is radioactive. Cool marbles.
Looks like uranium glass marbles to me. The Geiger counter is able to pick up the slight amount of radioactivity (over "background" radiation..naturally occurring)because of the amount of marbles present. If there were only one or two..it'd barely make a peep.
@JingleJoe where could you find such amount for sale? I can only find sources selling from 1 to 3 marbles max

... do you just not read descriptions? I said they were uranium marbles o.O
Also one marble does make the geiger counter react. Just not as much as the whole lot.
JingleJoe 4 years ago
Uranium glass marbles, 97% SiO2, 3% U, they aren't pure uranium.
And yes, one marble will register on a geiger counter (I have one), but not by much.

lmao duurrr. otherwise how would it be glass?
annyonghaseyo90 3 years ago
@CATSCEO If it is true that it contains 3% U, then wow!
