First you have to know a location that has a birds eye view. You can then setup a route to navigate with a start and end point (if that GPS supports routes) then go to settings... then system... then select GPS simulator and turn it on. Once it is turned on... you can then go to the created route and start. The simulation will then run.
It seems redundant to the regular birds eye view on the left.
