Could I get a picture of the front of the controller with the mesh removed? I want to see how well it will match the front panel of my Lian Li PC-A05NB.
@Vinhy I tried to remove the front mesh for you but it would seem that it is not designed to be removed and a person would have to break the knobs off to get the mesh off. Sorry.
@Vinhy That was what I thought but I tried prying on them with a screwdriver even and they would not budge. I think they glue them on or something. But the Akasa are very nice also. Pretty much the same thing with out the mesh.
Regarding my post about the focus in your videos, I didn't mean to criticize you at all my friend, just a little notice of mine course you do so good review videos that you really deserve the best in studio technology to do you justice.
@BenWoJoh No problem at all. My channel has been kind of a work in progress for awhile. So I really hope to be able to make it better and better for the viewers.
Very good and professional review with impressive vocal presentations in a calm and easy understandable way.
what I wish to be improved is the the quality of focus that didn't reach up to the high class as the rest is. Then I wouldn't mind to view the review items with a little more in distance to the objects it self regarding that most of the products isn't that small and in need of macro view.
But as I said, very impressive presentation with a great portion of professionalism.
@BenWoJoh Thank you very much. You are too kind. Sorry about the resolution on this video. I have since updated to a HD camera and am offering all my newer videos in HD to make them easier to see. And also experimenting with different camera angles to make it easier to get the products in view. Thank you for the kind words and I will keep trying to make better quality videos in the future.
Sunbeam totally sucks, read review on newegg and you will see that a lot of people are having problems. I would advice everyone to avoid this product at all cost.
@ylen13 I am sorry that you think so. I know a few people that are very happy with them. Even on NewEgg they have a 72% excellent rating. Maybe a few people have gotten bad ones that does happen some times.
@FUzzyBUnnyBOoties In real world environment just controller is not what i would call quality product. If you turn the knob about half way the fan stops spinning. There is no real way to know how far you can turn the knob down before fan will turn off unless you either have it also hocked up to the board to see the rpm, or you have visual on the fan to see if it stop spinning or not . A lot of people like to connect cpu to their fan controller being that they so loud. So yes this one sucks.
@ylen13 Some very good points you have. Some fans do require more voltage to spin so when they get down to 7 volts some fans will quit. So I guess it is Dependant of what fans are in the case. I just have not run into a problem with mine. But that certainly don`t mean that other people have not had trouble with them. Thank you for the heads up about it. :-)
I love the look of these - especially as one would look really good in my new case. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to find a retailer over here in the UK who stocks them!
@PGTMan Sorry to hear that. Being as they have been just released here in the states I imagine that you should be able to buy one locally there in the next few weeks.
been looking for a fan controller for a while but have not found one that would look good. i have found a few but they all had temperature monitoring witch i do not want.
@workensmart Very good point. The led`s are very nice. Not so bright as to blind you. But bright enough that they are still easy to see in a bright room.
Hehe. I've seen this new item on a couple of sites and hoped someone would review it, and it is YOU :) Simple, cheap and hopefully sturdy, this thing has an enthusiast written all over it. 30 Watt per channel is solid. I prefer paying a little extra so the sites I buy custom stuff from sleeve stuff like this for me. Lazy + short on time, a deadly combination.
@zver711 It really is a nice controller. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got it. I have seen so many poorly made ones that it really made this one stick out. It is not as fancy as some of them that have the temperature probes with them. But I don`t think you could find a better one in this price range.
@FUzzyBUnnyBOoties I bought a Lamptron FC-5 almost a year ago (reviewed it about same time), 4 channels - 4 temp probes, all sleeved, also I ordered 2 (or 4?) replacement (extra) temp probes, also sleeved...Ask me how many times I used those probes?..Never, exactly. Do I really need the screen or just the knobs to control the noise/RPM? Plus that model has a screen problem, and they never got back to me...so I rather buy cheaper stuff next time. This Rheosmart 6 is around 35$. Mine was 65$.
@zver711 Sorry to hear that. Some of them try to be too fancy to do a simple job. That was why I was happy to see that this one used such simple circuitry. Not much that can fail and should last for years.
@FUzzyBUnnyBOoties BTW, I've seen Rheosmart 3, looks cute and useful. Its like a half or the "6" exactly - 3.5 inch panel controller, same looks, 3 channels - 30 Watt each. I could use those...For example - when modding cases sometimes you have to put something into the 3.5" slot, if your face plate is missing...And Rheosmart 3 is less then 25$. A freaking bargain!
P.S.
Btw, very good job on the video, measuring the cables was especially a nice touch, I like your attention to detail :)
Green and red leds? YUCK! That color combo may look great on a Christmas tree, but they look hideous on a PC.
If they used something much more coordinated like white and blue or pink and red, this would have been my next fan controller.

@pam0077 I am very surprised that they didn't include a blue option also. But you are right the colors might not be what every one is looking for.

@FUzzyBUnnyBOoties You just have to slide the knobs off, but it's okay. I've decided to go with the Akasa FC-SIX

Does anyone know the mesh holes size ?
I'd like to know if it's the same as my CM-690 II before buying this rheobus

@fl0914 Same here.

@alexbeast14 I bought it, the mesh isn't the same as the CM-690 II. But i modded it, so now it looks perfect :)

@fl0914 How did you mod it?
alexbeast14 9 months ago
@alexbeast14 Removed the knobs, and then i made holes in one of my case's front panel, and i replaced the one on the rheobus

@zver711 They are a steal at $25.00 for the 3. And probable enough for most people unless they want to control every fan in the case separately.
Thank you very much for the compliment. I am glad that you enjoyed it :-).
