Do you think that playing violent videogames is in any way morally wrong or can cause lapses in judgement of real life situations? I mean if you play GTA and chainsaw people in Gears of War all day, would that be wrong-morally, religiously, menally?? Do you think video games desensitize players to violence? What are your thoughts on that?

I have a really tragic example of one kid who responded negatively to violent video games and that was what made me ask the question..... ok this one kid somewhere brought a revolver to school one day and shot SIX students... in the head... There was obviously a LOT wrong with him already, but video games don't help. (games are rated M for a reason)

@TheHumorous1 Im a chilled dude but on stuff like GTA ill be running people over and such, and id have to say it did desensitize me, if i saw someone has been shot on the news it wouldnt really effect me, however when someone in my family almost died it put me back in my place on how important life is and now im abit cooler on games. However id never do that in real life, it doesnt remove your mindset in what is right/wrong.

R rated movies aren't evil, their just for mature audiences. Same with video games. It's how you respond to the content that matters. I could look at a painting of a war, and resist the urge to shoot someone in the face. I mean, it's art, but it all boils down to your choice of reaction.
