  • fantastic work. I just got this for Christmas and I am,apprehensive to say the least to start the trim. I have an idea I would like to bounce off of you. Sort of a reverse wash technique with a twist. Paint the parts with gold acrylic then put the foil stickers then paint over with black enamel, then pull off the stickers. If it's done with a light coats there should be very little bleeding. If there is, just clean up with thinner. Does this make sense?

  • how on earth did you get such a smooth surface without brushstrokes?

  • @gluebubble

just painted multiple thin layers. (acrylic based paint)

  • what paint did you use? and for the inner frame, what color did you use? i am about to buy this kit, and i am preparing any paint i can possibly use. so your thoughts will help me so much, I like the color of the inner frame and i planning to mimic it :)

  • msn xd

  • any one tell me the best paint brand for the gold trim since i dont wanna use like a gundam marker paint

  • I got this kit as well. It was fun to paint though I did run out of paint for mine. I air brushed mine to get that Titanium finish. I figured it would look better if I painted it myself instead of getting the bandai titanium finish one because of all the spots you get from the trees.

  • i still cant believe u hand brushed this

  • Wow, looks really good. Any tips for the gold bits?

  • handbrushed? what are the colors and how many layers to be that clear?

  • @sentaiaddict

Takes 4 layers incl. the clear glossycoat

  • looks like a space marine hehe nice nice job =)

  • is the emblem painted?

  • yep!

  • neat!!!!! wish i could do that!

  • do you use topcoats after paint?

  • Dude, u have a nice skill. Son envy about u.....

  • what colours? airbrush?

  • it's a mixed colour dunno exactly..and it's all handbrushed

  • Really great work. I think the gloss is very fitting for this MS. Dullcoat probably would not have looked as good. Oh, and if you're having problems with color accuracy on your camera, try adjusting the white balance. It might help with that... Can't wait to see it when it's all done!

  • oh never thought about that!! thnx for the tip mate!

  • Hey, no prob!

  • sry for 2nd comment post but i just wanted to know and curious if u sand the surface of armours of ur gundams and for filling in seam lines do u do it or just leave it so it shows? because since u dont use primer wouldnt seam lines show o.o so ye xD

  • i dont sand the surface lucky on this kit there are not many seamlines a few in his legs and arms but because it's a recent kit the look like panellines so i just leave it there the old MG's showing much more seamlines...dont be sry for ur 2nd comment hehehe lol

  • omfg omfgomfg yaay u posted it =o

  • did you still use hand brush with all the red??? NOoooo... must have taken ages...

dude buy an air brush, and i know you'll do miracles... nicely done fl1p... ahhhh... i envy you so!!!

  • think about getting one...but there so expensive... and yes this took a while

  • Very clean and precise work! I love the internal work!

  • looking sweet dust or no, space dust? putting the work into kits to make them this shiny and robust looking must turn out great in the end, like each limb and plate bursting out with a bit of radiance and power

  • thnx!

  • SEIG ZEON!

  • despite the dust collecting u still did an awesome job on painting, the gold is very nice

and the red, idk but the gloss on it looks epic (is gloss always on that kit)

amazing job, cant wait to see it finished ^^

  • Thnx i'd applied a glossy coat on it because this kit is made to be glossy hehe.... dunno why but it looks better I tried it first with out the gloss but it turned out a lil bit dull and boring..

  • i know why its better with gloss

    cause its epic lol XD

  • Amazing job...

  • how did you do the gold trim

  • fine tipbrush

  • Outstanding job so far and the detailing work you've done is top notch!!
