  • I was on my way home from Stockholm in Sweden heading for Copenhagen, when the "Crash-8" crashlanded in Copehagen. Not a funny experience to see the plane lying there on the runway!!

  • SAS' maintenance division was shown to be at fault for the gear-collapse matter. They simply don't know how to maintain a plane. So much for an elite carrier. That's why you outlaw lutefisk.

  • the same thing has happened to pakistan airlines aircraft ATR 42-500 at Lahore international airport at lahore about 5 days back...but its left and nose bogies both collapsed....all crew and pax were safe.

    Has crashed in Buffalo. Oups....

    Scandinavian airlines grounded them as they where seen as unsafe and that SAS costumers hade lost faith in them.

  • After the SAS problem all government investigations cleared the planes for safety within 2 weeks. The proof that SAS still has faith in the plane is that 2 weeks ago, they just ordered another 14 Q400 planes with a total order of $883 million dollars inlcuding some jets for a total of 27 planes. SAS has options that could total as much as $1.75 BILLION for the total order. They talked to the union reps who did the shoddy work on the landing gear & will be sending their asses to Iraq ASAP. lol

  • Its funny how all the accidents happend when these Aircraft reached a specific number of flying hours which would suggest faulthy design. Theirs also been several incidents with the gears in Asia. SAS got CRJ900 as replacemnt in a settlement between SAS and Bombardier.
