Totally disagree, Vivien Leigh, in her utmost starlight in "Gone With the Wind"...there was no other beauty like her or since. Vivien was petite boned and naturally beautiful. Liz Taylor was heavier boned and her eyebrows were too much...she didn't have the big walking stride like Vivien....she didn't have that "natural" beauty. Liz was too made up. They didn't have to put tons of make up on Vivien in GWTW...she was it. She will always be the most natural, beautiful stunner. Vivien the highest!

The list is only of Hollywood actresses, which includes Italians that worked for Hollywood producers. The list misses the French : Catherine Denueve and Brigitte Bardot, that were reluctant to work in the USA. The list also misses the Mexican Maria Felix that was quite known and admired in Europe but never accepted to work in Hollywood movies, because in spite of her aristocratic countenance the producers only wanted to give her roles of indian or servant.
I would have left out half those woman in favor of others. I would have included Kim Novak, Gene Tierney for instance. I guess will all see beauty differently.
Noteworthy faces on some of them because they are interesting. but not necessarily beautiful. Faye Dunaway referred to her own face as interesting rather than beautiful It's all in one's point of view. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. to be honest, I don't see the big deal about Vivien Leigh's looks at all. Not that she wasn't pretty,but I fail to see how she is better looking than most actresses. She was just alright.

Me too. I think she is pretty but not as gorgeous as everyone claims her to be. Her eyebrow movements are kinda distracting but I guess she did such a great job in Gone with the wind that people place her in such a high pedestal.

@northernoir I totally agree. I saw her once near the Brown Derby so long ago. Her eyes are so green they look like the ocean. Her cheeckbones, and full lips are natural, and I was just 14 years old, and too scared to speak to her.

The list is only of Hollywood actresses, which includes Italians that worked for Hollywood producers. The list misses the French : Catherine Denueve and Brigitte Bardot, that were reluctant to work in the USA. The list also misses the Mexican Maria Felix that was quite known and admired in Europe but never accepted to work in Hollywood movies, because in spite of her aristocratic countenance the producers only wanted to give her roles of indian or servant.

Faye Dunaway referred to her own face as interesting rather than beautiful It's all in one's point of view. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ingrid Bergman is, to me, not particularly beautiful, but others thought she was stunning. Etc......

All these years later and I still cannot understand why Jean Harlow was/is considered one of the most beautiful actresses of all time. There really was nothing outstanding about her bone structure, her figure, her walk and certainly not her voice! Vastly overrated if you ask me. :/

Wonderful video! You included some of my favorites-Audrey, Grace, Rita (4:23 from Gilda always still sends chills) but I LOVE Vivien Leigh. Gosh, it was those eyes. There is just no comparison with those eyes.
