  • Ken Daniels is now the play-by-play colour commentator for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. Although I'm sure most Red Wings fans in Windsor know that. Boy, his voice was different 20 years ago, but I still recognize him with that moustache.

  • But dont get me wrong, channel 9 used to be a great TV station, for the novelty of it or not, it was just fine.

  • Well, CBC Windsor, in my opinion should be shut down and turned into a semi-satellite of CBLT from Toronto. The novelty of having a local station has now been filled by CHWI, CBET is just a joke with a very poor quality newscast. Sure, CBET does have a few good reporters that have been in the community for years, but without any on air talent AT ALL, it truly hard to watch. At least A news is watchable, and they do a late local news as well.

  • And just to add, I think the newscast above, from 1987 seems more professional than the current newscasts coming from channel 9.

  • Also of note how different we talked about Ben Johnson before the Seoul Olympics.

  • That is definitely a weekend edition from CBLT Toronto, that was their studio and Ken Daniels was with that station.

  • Alright very good, now we know for sure 100% and I'll update all the info. CBLT produced a regional version of its newscast at least on Weekend evenings.
