@tealmarlin im a UK resident and i would say the healthcare is cheaper IF you use it, myself and alot others i know rarely use it. If you go private the service is 100% quicker and better. As for the vans i wouldnt be sure on that, but what i can say they must check because many people get caught per year for not having a licence..... which equals fines more money

I've been saying that the internet has already changed in a big way already, and it was starting to resemble just another tv station a few years ago.Just try googling something and the first 100 results will be ads. Try googling alternative or zero point enegry, 10 years ago you would have 500k pages on the subject, now its a few google vids. Content has been disappearing at an alarming rate already. better open your eyes to that fact too people!

TV License details: How much? A TV license costs around £120 per year (about $250).
What do I get from paying it? No adverts on BBC channels, only adverts to advertise themselves, which to me is the same as adverts.

@tealmarlin im a UK resident and i would say the healthcare is cheaper IF you use it, myself and alot others i know rarely use it. If you go private the service is 100% quicker and better. As for the vans i wouldnt be sure on that, but what i can say they must check because many people get caught per year for not having a licence..... which equals fines more money

The govt should regulate the internet in one way. All porno should be in a wwwdotporno section of the web and you could only get to it by using addresses beginning with that. It would be blocked elsewhere.

Pornos could go to the wwwdotporno part of the web for their porn, but it would be restricted from popping up elsewhere.

I'm ALWAYS watching my child, however, it would be nice to have ratings on everything, because I've went on sights that I had no idea it was bad until I went on the sights(porno and stuff like that) you can "block" these sights, but it won't "block" everything bad for children. That's why I feel we need a rating some sort of rating system in tact.
(yes, it's prob. never going to happen but it would be nice)

There's some things that even I don't want to watch (rated x things) and if I go to a web sight that I'm unaware that it has these things how will I know? Unless it tells me before hand. Maybe, it could/will happen but I highly doubt it. The net is just too big for anyone to control.

As a parent all that you can do is guide them to the best of your ability and hope that later in life they end up doing the right thing. Truth be told they will do things that you're not always going to approve of. Wthr you are watching them or not.

Ive been watching NN since 2002. there have been several ISPs in Europe that wanted to charge extra for subscribers to view certain websites(gate keepers). it failed because people switched to a different isp.

You dont need one if you use a tv for cctv, playing a games console or watching dvd's, but of course they dont buy that and demand to come and inspect your property and keep sending threatening letters. They have no authority to tell me what I cannot say, with rare exceptions that should be fairly obvious. With future global tyranny, they will be coming to Sweden eventually - though I must say, certain "socialist" nations - Sweden, Canada - already have speech boards and rules.

They can remove you if they choose, because they own it. A town square is in many ways shared and open for speech, though there are some rules on gatherings and the like, and protests - often you need a permit to protest, but still, it is more accessible.

I've been saying that the internet has already changed in a big way already, and it was starting to resemble just another tv station a few years ago.Just try googling something and the first 100 results will be ads. Try googling alternative or zero point enegry, 10 years ago you would have 500k pages on the subject, now its a few google vids. Content has been disappearing at an alarming rate already. better open your eyes to that fact too people!

@evildevinity Perhaps Google should be avoided if possible; this, I suppose, may sound strange from someone using a "Google" service, known as YouTube. Unfortunately, YouTube seems to provide a certain set of features difficult to find elsewhere. Everyone came here for videos, and now it is #1 by a great distance. There are several search engine alternatives though with varying features, notably Ixquick/Startpage, which claims to protect privacy.

@armalabama I get the feeling people are without direction on this: looking for answers and not getting any. Everybody knows there is a problem here. The system is trying to keep them in somehow. "1776" is not the answer; peaceful means have to be utilized. Anything else would fail.
