0-60, 0-100, 0-120 my MS3 is far quicker shifting at about 57-5800 RPM vs. pushing it to redline. On a stock turbo/cams and even with bolt ons, nothing is gained by revving it higher.
okay, but still. he shouldn't shift that late. due to the small size of the k04 the MS3 looses a lot of power after ~5500 RPMs so he should shift around there, not where he is shifting.
yes, so it seems to be american by the dual rated speedo with mph as primary. but I was jus saying that the difference appears to be the fuel quality used, which doesnt cause the ecu to pull boost as much...just an observation. I know 94 octane makes a big difference over 91 here

probably shouldnt bring your car to redline like that. you loose all your power after ~5500rpms

so why im shifting at 5,5k car bug a bit and evoe or other shit is passing me I rather go to 6.5-7k
wisniaPl628 2 years ago
Cause the stock turbo runs out of efficiency past 6k rpms. Why bring it higher than you're losing power??

What are you talking about? He was shifting at 6000 RPM, and the redline is at 6200 RPM.

The MS3s in Europe seem to pull more consistently at high RPM when stock compared to american ones... i'm sure it has to do with the quality of fuel

but still. this is an american mazdaspeed3...
