  • hey sounds good, I've just had a total hip replacement(46 years old), maybe it will help me loosen up my hip area. thanks for the exercise :)

  • Hey Mike. Love your videos. They seem to be right on target..! Im going to try your exercises and let you know. Thanks for putting that info out there.

  • Hi Mike. I am on the rather larger side physique wise. I tend to overturn the hips on my backswing to get the 90 degree shoulder turn. The problem then is it slows me down when I go to turn my hips through the ball. Ideally I would like to be able to lesson the amount of hip turn but still get the full 90 degree turn with the shoulders.

I would hope that then I would be able to get my hips to turn through sooner and then try to get them faster on the downswing.

Any advice would be most welc

  • Thanks

  • @9jmorrison You bet!

  • Try letting that knee bend just a bit. Just enough to take the stress of the joint.

  • mike, i'm feeling an uncomfortable stretch in the inner knee of the trailing leg while in the 10s lunge position. am i doing it right?

  • @kckong3 What do you mean "10s lunge position"?

  • I think this can work really well for the baseball swing as well. I don't play golf I play baseball and I am trying to find a way to swing faster. I am learning about the human body and I am starting to think that the lack of flexibility and strength in certain muscles can simply affect mechanics. Your body can only do what it is allowed to do. Restrictions in any joint(s) in the body will cause power leakage throughout the kinetic link.

  • @mannyramirez24 Works for lot of sports. Glad to hear your knowledge of the body and how its limitations affects athletic performance. Your phrase, "Restrictions in any joint(s) in the body will cause power leakage throughout the kinetic link" is spot on!

  • Mike, I have been working on the stretching drill for the past few days. Even taking small breaks at my desk. I am really tight in the legs, so this should help me over time. Thanks, Jeff

  • @jkpassage Hey Jeff! That's great. This is such an easy stretch to do at home or in your office, that there's no excuse not to do it at least daily. You'll see a big improvement in your hip rotation quickly if you do this stretch consistently.

  • your program is amazing...not only for golf, but for general wellbeing! Thanks mike!

  • @dg10272 Thanks. I appreciate it. And you're right. You don't have to be a golfer. In fact, it can be used in many other sports.

  • Looks good. Thanks.

  • @robtsaunders Thanks Rob!
