Couldn't even get through the first minute of this video. That girl's voice is annoying as hell and she ends all her sentences as if she were asking a question.
The apartment looks expensive. What does she and her husband do for a living and approx. how much is their income? this would be helpful to know when seeing peoples" decorating.
It doesnt look that big or expensive for that matter to me .. It'd propably worth 400 euro's per month here in greece *( If you were to rent it | but that's depending on the location of course )*
I can tell ya as a Brooklyn resident, that a one bedroom that large-unless she's WAAAAAAY out of the city-would start at about $1600-$2000 a month. Bear in mind though, you're possibly earning more here as well-and you get to live in NYC, which for some of us is worth it.
Thanks for the info, rickleanne, . If that apt cost about $1600.-2000., then it would take my whole monthly paycheck as a full time Home care R.N. in Cleveland, Ohio. Wouldn't be able to eat or pay any other bills. It does look VERY very nice, I just wanted it to be seen for what it was and how much money it would take to live there. Thanks again.
yeah, I love being here in Brooklyn, but we could have a whole house for the same amount elasewhere...but it's always a sacrifice. They should mention expenses, I agree. It's good to note that you can often get awesome stuff for free if you know where to look; i e going to a nice neighborhood on trash day-there'll be tables and cool stuff out on the curb! so that's another way. :-)
It's not about the money, it's about what you can do with a space with some vision and creativity. I have no budget for personal decor at this point, but I work with what I have and feel great about how I have created my home. So many of Lina's pieces are vintage or found objects, so with or without a budget you can totally nurture your nest! xo, meg
im redoing my bedroom and i wanted a cool and inexpensive way to display my photography. also i need some way to hide or revamp my old closet panel door and celing fan. any ideas would be fantastical
neat, i actually like it i love how there are other couples w/ completely different taste i am extremely messy and my boyfriend is a pychotic neat freak. so it's nice to have an idea of what ppl do to compromise. thanx! p.s. very nice pad
I really like the frame idea, but just in the bedroom. I can see how it'd help with sleeping, especially for those of us with problems getting to sleep.
For someone who talks about how much she loves natural stuff in her home, she certainly doesn't have a lot of plants. How can you feel like you're bringing nature into your home when it's all dead on arrival?
Viewer apartment tours are a great idea. As much as we love your apartment, there are only so many times you can redecorate! It's nice to see new and different spaces.
Good question illa2015. As long as wood dries out properly it won't rot or degrade -- at least not in our lifetime anyway. Just think how long wood furniture of siding lasts.
The appartment looks very "designerish". Lots of white, and all very plain. I'm more a fan of a cozy and more dark interior, but I love the "natural look" this appartment has. And the empty photo frames are very interesting!
love the birch tree idea! and the barnacles in the bathroom. and the empty frames. i'm re-do-ing my room and I really want it to look clean and simple...and these ideas really helped.
This stunning space gives me something to reach for when designing my home. The gallery wall, bathroom and frames were all such cool ideas. I love it! Do more segments like this!
She has SUCH great taste, such a clean, modern color pallete. Thanks for letting take a look at this loft space. So cool and really inspiring for what I could do with my space. love it.
There is endless interior inspiration in this video. This is my favorite way to find new ideas, seeing how others interpret design, form and function. Awesome episode!
Lina has SUCH incredible taste. Her white modern look with splashes of color is classic and interesting. That Eames chair is amazing. Thanks for the cool episode!
If i'm right it looks like how I used to do my hair a lot: it's simple- you brush your hair into two pigtails (kind of level with the top of your ears, and quite far forward). Then you plait them both and secure them at the ends. then pull them up over your head *they'll cross over in the middle), pinning them as you go and tuck the ends in, viola!!! and add hairband/scarf if you want to!
I like Lina's place, i like how each object has a story =)

Save the planet and DIY as much as you can to protect nature..
AND THEN: Corals in the bathroom. GREAT.
All the fishes in the reef will freak out because they loose their home just because humans want their homes to look "more natural"
CyaMh88 2 years ago
most coral like that washes up on the beach because it has died. blame that on humans not appreciating and paying homage to it in their homes.
