I'd have to disagree with many of the people on this site, you sound VERY different from Amy Lee. But that isn't a bad thing, why would you want to sound 'just' like her, that wouldn't make you unique. Standing up always sounds better, as it opens everything up.

Also breathing from your stomach/diaphragm, not your shoulders.
