The two pilots were sentenced to 14 years in prison for criminal negligence. Findings of the court were;

- violation of the flight plan by crew or ground co-ordinator

- improper flight plan: particularly, mistaken correlation between the flight and spectators' zones

- piloting error

- technical failure

Bloody people blaming the pilots. The SU-27 is not an easy plane to fly. Planes crash all the time. You can see that the pilots tried to lift upwards, but sometimes nobody can control a plane. They should be given a medal for trying to atleast pull up.

The SU27 either purforms some of the most incredible manouvers, or crashes. I think the pilots take the aircraft far too close to the edge of the envelope.

@nickapole you need to think about how far away the plane was at the top of his loop, and how long it took for the sound to travel to the camera.

I can hear a distinctive change in thrust at 1:15 and 1:17 . at this point the pilot is thinking "holy crap" and is trying to recover and find a place to land,and by 1:28 all of the engine noise is gone, the rest of the noise you hear is from the really expensive glider slicing through the air.

Crashes do happen, all pilots take the risk as soon as climbing into cockpit and you take the risk when paying to see them risk their own lives for your amusement, but what you people fail to realize is that these are man-made machines that's only true purpose is to kill and destroy people, in the end this particular one also served that purpose, innocent or not.
