As MissNovember says, this album did have some gems, including this tune. Y they didn't release it as a single, I'll never know (yes, there still were singles in 1995 lol) ... anyhow, def check out their cover of Perfect Day. Lou Reed himself said it was the best cover, of any of his songs, that he'd ever heard.

I understand a lot of people thought they lost their minds with 911 is a Joke, but one song does not an album make. Their covers of Watching the Detectives, Crystal Ship and Lay Lady Lay were SEXY AS HELL with Simon singing them! Too many times, their albums get overlooked because someone doesn't care for one song and the real gems on the album are forgotten.

Agreed.Those three covers were good.I might be one of the only people old enough to remember & like both versions of "White Lines" when they were released.Of course someone will say GrandMaster Flash appeared in the DD video for the money,as the management for their record company was ...not known for scrupulous practices.

I'm fairly open-minded about covers or variations anyway.

Public Enemy+Anthrax on"Bring The Noise" is the shit,imho.

I always loved the original. But I was into old school deep funk from the time I was a little kid. If it had a beat and some bass, I was a happy camper. Attitude was just a bonus. As for DD, I loved them from the beginning, but when I heard John say the original idea was to blend Chic and the Sex Pistols, I knew I was witnessing pure genius in action.

Conveniently Annie Lennox did a far worse covers album the same year but SHE gets away with it I notice-yawn! But what about now.
