  • you crazzy

  • there was a family who moved int hat house but at night they moved right back out and left there stuff behind. Also i remember that the owners of that house before was selling what was inside 0_0 which is a big no no. and inthe news not that long ago a couple wanted to buy the house saying the stoy is just a made up hollywood dramatic hollywood movies. Which is true they make movies dramatic and over the top. But it is haunted though they said house is built over a native american burial

  • people shouldn't feel that bad for the home owners .... while I can see your point you have too remember that they purchased the house knowing the history and the hype. They knew they would be bothered on a regular basis if they lived there it's not right ... but it's a fact. I still think someone should buy it, restore it too its previous image and make it into a bed and breakfast so that people who want too seek it out for it's history can do so w/o causing a disturbance.

  • Pretty scary ghost picture. Why it almost looks like 2 garage doors

  • it doesn't take a genius to figure out why it looks like a face.

  • i walk pass it everyday so use to it an nothing barly happens an theirs only one man living their and i see lots of people driving slowly wen they get to it its like everyday people comes to see it an shit its mad annoying but hey its famous :/

  • Why did they change the front windows ? They used to be a lot different & NOT rectangle ones...

  • @lilmissgaga After the Lutz family moved out and the story of Amityville spread, hundreds of people wento the house. The owners got sick and tired of people doing this, so they changed the adress to 108 Ocean avenue, they painted the house white, and they changed the quarter circle windows to rectangular ones, so that the people would leave the house alone.

  • @maryoassyrian2007

HA HA bollocks. The Lutz's story is more belivable than yours fool

  • @NicoEuropeDk Fuck yo, ok? This erson asked a question and I answered it. Say that shit to my face...

  • @lilmissgaga they changed it because they were trying to get people not keep comming to the house but well yeah that didn't really happen well , they changed everything about it ....

  • yeah pople live and that house i don't get it why don't they just move out!

  • I see the face on the boat and 2 people standing there at 40 sec in to video

its a very thing what happened, and yes people will want to see and look at the house , and the people who brought it must no that , hear in the uk when there is such a big murder they knock the house down and they did about 10 years ago , also our most haunted old house have open days , no matter what number the house is or colour people will always look and find it , and it seams to of put the price

  • This shiet was filmed wuth a calculator

  • i would love to live in that house but i woundnt pay like a million dollars for any house

  • I agree..the son was high on LSD, pist at his dad, didn't like his lifestyle and needed a way out...he got it alright..25 yrs behind bars. Where is this lunatic now. Did he go back to Amityville ? Tried finding info, but nothing came up on him.

  • @TheCuntrygal they reckon it was actual his sister that did it then he killed her. u can find that out on here. vry interesting find.

  • I live in Amityville. There is nothing super natural about the house. It was some guy who did too much acid and then believed the devil told him to murder is family

  • @SykoMDKilla totally agree with you. I feel awful for the people who live there now though - just because the constant attention would drive me crazy ... sorry, bad wording. Then again, I guess they knew that would come with the house.

  • you should go there at 3:15, i think you would shit yourself

  • @Silvershotgunz LOL!!!! No shit eh? Like its creepy to know even though they adjusted the outside of the house the inside must be somewhat like it was when this stuff went down, pretty house though...glad they took those half circular windows out thats fucked!!....If I were the home owners now I''d fuck with people SO bad on Halloween...find some beige pants and a grey top and start sharpening an Axe with a big 70's dirty afro...and sweat like a mad man...haha no one would come by hahahahaha

  • the current family that lives in the house today have not experienced any paranormal activity at all instead they've harassed/annoyed by curious people so they installed fences

  • On a final note, can you imagine what Halloween would be like? Poor kids are just trying to get some decent candy besides those tooth-shattering rock hard toffee things with the witches on the wrapper, and there would be the parent firing away one stupid question after another...geez! Best plan that night is to put a red bulb in the top floor room, place a stuffed pig in the 2nd floor window and hook up a recording that growls "F@#k OFF" in a satanic voice whenever the doorbell is rung.

  • And to a previous poster, the house hasn't been visited by "ghost hunters" because all the new owners are most likely tired of all the kooks circling the house snapping pictures and gawking. Of course anyone that buys the joint understands what the deal is purchasing a "celebrity" place, but I am sure the novelty wears thin after the 3 or 400th person rings the bell asking if the damned place is haunted. On second thought, owning it probably would drive you insane.

  • Of course someone lives there. Do you really think a million dollar home is going to sit empty? The DeFeo murders were tragic but no different any any other homicide... except in this case the next owners (Lutz, Nutz, whatever...) bought into a house they couldn't afford, bailed out and hatched this retarded story about ghosts and crap to make some money before they went bankrupt.

  • @TheWhalerfan but how was it that the son murdered his entire family in the middle of the night with a high powered rifle and not arousing the neighbours?

  • @westnblu Even though the house is ancient and has crap windows, you would be surprised at how much noise can be suppressed inside. I grew up in a monster house at least the size as this one and you could crank the house stereo until your ears bled and barely hear anything outside. I know it is hard to believe that no-one noticed the shots but it is, and obviously was, possible. Ronnie Defeo was a lunatic, but had no help from the supernatural.

  • @TheWhalerfan I take your point bout a big house suppressing noise in fact the older the house the more 'solid' its structure stronger walls and such suppressing noise even more yet how u xplain all the bodies were found lying in their beds face down? They werent moved 2 the beds they were all shot as they slept. Surely the noise would b heard inside arousing some of the family members? And the dog? neighbours didnt hear it barking. Im not sayin its supernatural just an eerie observation

  • i hope no 1 lives there

  • I've done it too but it's kinda fcuked up to be stalking those people's house at night LOL. fcuk em tho - they knew what they werre getting in to when they bought it. If they werre smart they'd be making money off tours of it and living in a much bigger, nicer home.

Think about this: Imagine how much the "High Hopes" sign would be worth to the right person right now. I wonder if it's still around somewhere?

  • instead of 112 ocean avenue, they changed it to 108 ocean avenue.

  • @mrlego611

They changed it to 412 Ocean Ave.

Didn't help much tho - My moms and I found it easy cause it's not like the rest of the houses changed their numbers LOL. This was back in like '87 or '88 tho. They've changed the appearance a bit since then - you can kinda tell from this vid.

  • @mrlego611

Unless maybe they changed it again?

  • i agree with midnightryder7 it was bad ass then and alot more scary its nice now u wouldnt be able to tell that it was haunted they changed to make it not scary

  • Never saw the damn face.

  • nah...guys, the house is on the market for $1.5 million I think was the price. It's a beautiful home!

  • La La......La La........La la la la...la ..la la. I always thought that tune was scarier then the movie. Great lyrics though. Heres the houses version of it with actual lyrics.

    " GET OUT.....GET OUT.... IT'S 3:15 IN THE MORNING. GET OUT...GET OUT....IT'S THUNDERING AND IT'S POURING"

  • Theres a face because people still live there,,,-_-

  • Do people still live there?

  • @theorangelemons

yup, they even keep the land as private property, they say they dont see or hear a damn thing..i think there full of shit..probably them and the ghosts worked something out, lol

  • @theorangelemons yes and those peopel have not seen anything supernatural even though thry have been there for a long time and still are there

  • i think peaple live in that house currently...i feel sorry for them.. having peaple drive past taking pictures and technically stalking, parking out front n stuff.......

  • @melksrf i srsly dk y they wud've bought the place lmao! uless they wanted to experience a devil or some shit...

  • @melksrf awww thats WHY they bought it ... they knew what they were getting into..

If you really want to feel bad ... check out the guys who own the house from home alone..

that's like 24-7 people sneaking up to door and doing the scream face

  • @melksrf well its a 'celebrity' house wot u expect? Its like the paparazzi hounding celebrities except in this case its the house thats the celebrity!! haha

  • @melksrf dose anyone even live there?

  • @melksrf

I wouldn't say I feel sorry for them cause it's not like they didn't know what they were gettin into when they bought the house.

  • @melksrf its within their rights to take photos from the street, however, if it became a problem the owners could technically bust the people videotaping for filming without a permit. photos are perfectly legal though as long as there is a reasonable respect to privacy (no peeking into windows, for instance).

  • @melksrf then they shouldnt move into a house that is a world wide story. its gona happen, if u dont like it, dont live there simple. i think they shuld have knocked the house down after such brutal murders anyway. even if it aint haunted, y on earth would u wanna live in a house where something like that took place.

  • @melksrf

    * people dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • The house is NOT haunted. Everytime someone gets murdered in a house its automatically haunted. Yea right. I grew up on ocean AVE. I knew the pervious pretty well.

  • @evan4607

Oh it's haunted alright buddy, even before the defeo murders..i mean indians were murdered in the basement etc... and rumor has it that the ghosts that were in the house when the defeos lived there possesed the eldest son..i mean why would he kill his family for no reason..he looked so happy in the pictures with them???

  • utter and complete bullshit. it's merely an old house where a nut-job killed his family. besides, get a real camera. oh, and learn to keep your optics clean.

  • utter and complete bullshit. it's merely an old house where a nut-job killed his family.

  • That music always spooks me lol

  • There is nothing in that house... even though I believe in ghost, I find it hard to believe that all the stories were true. It was all just a scheme to make money...lol

  • @mixedboii1989

I doubt it. Father Malachai Martin said in 1997 the Vatican knew about that house before the DeFeo's let alone the Lutz's even owned that house. He would not elaborate what that meant just to say the Vatican had kept close tabs on that house and property for decades.

  • @mixedboii1989 6 people murdered in that house!i think that is enough for a house to be haunted!!!for it is true tha this house haunted 100%

  • What face?...Stoneboring productions!...Haunting?..indian burial ground?...regardless if true or not....the only thing i see is a bunch of wankers stroking there own ego's and most likely other things.....where's the respect for the 6 dead people and of course the present owners?

  • horror house.... lol and soyelfelipe93 ima do that with a ouija board.

  • I pass this house at night all the time. ITS JUST A HOUSE PEOPLE.

  • if someone paid me to get there i would stay for a whole week alone

  • I don't think the problems that the owners of the house have have to do with ghosts nowadays. It's mostly just regular people visiting the house on halloween and bothering the owners.

  • i bet even Chuck Noris would be scared to step foot in there lol

  • @steamyhotpoo If Chuck Norris went in the ghosts would tip their hats to him, bid him "Good day, sir" and get the hell out of dodge.

  • @steamyhotpoo lol

  • As of late July 2010, the house is for sale for $1,150,000. I'll bet you it will sell real quick, despite the housing market and its history. You can see pictures of it for yourself. Just go on homes.com, search for homes in amityville, and sort prices high to low and it will be like the first house you see in the list...

  • I went there in 07 with my class and wierd thing was my gf recieved a voicemail during the visit and it sounded like a little girl calling her stupid head and telling us we don't belong there

  • some people belive that there are 2 entrances to hell. 112 Ocean Avenue, Amityville, and some castle in russia

  • @weirdone17 houska castle? thats meant to be a gateway to hell but i dont think 112 ocean avenue is. that was just said in the film to make it scarier -.-' the only evil that was in that house was ronald "butch" defeo jr who murdered all 6 members of his own family in cold blood.

  • I thought they'd see something, but nope. Although I did hear a scream while watching (it was the TV) and when they did the clip of driving away from the house when they were really driving toward it I got a bit confused.

  • I wonder why Ghost Hunters and The Ghost Adventure guys haven't bothered to investigate the house?

  • @malissa1514, Good point!

  • @malissa1514 well i dont know about ghost hunter but when the second family wanted to do an investigation of the house all sourts of people came police men, psychich people (allthough i dont believe in that lol),religious people, and reporters and everything i saw the report ahaa

  • @malissa1514 ok yeah they did go but i dont believe in that stuff about ghost hunters :S

  • stupid idiots...haha you really think this is real????

if i had the chance i would sleep one whole week in that house just to prove that all the story's are bullshit

  • uuummm I didn`t see anything...

  • That was it? a drive by of a supposed haunted house? LOL Thanks for wasting my time.

  • Pareidolia. Look it up.

  • they should interview the people living beside the house... if that place used to be an indian burial site, then the other houses could also be haunted...

  • @bellestarla Neighbors have been interviewed and claim their homes aren't haunted. Even the residents of the actual house who lived there after the Lutz family claim they never noticed anything strange. The Lutz's were scammers.

  • @joshua81em but i kind of believe abt the Lutz case cuz they moved in a year after the murders and thge defeos souls arent at peace as they were killed.. if the house is NOT haunted then y do people keep moving in n out everytime.. its such a beautiful home with a boathouse n a lake...???!!!

  • @bellestarla People are NOT moving in and out "everytime". The family that owned the house after the Lutz's lived there for TEN YEARS and said the only strange activity were simpletons lurking around the property because of the book and movies.

  • I heard that place is for sale now, I think about 1.7 million. If I had the money, I would buy it and open a haunted attraction for the Halloween season. I would make so much money, I could live off the profits for the rest of the year!

  • I like the music, its creepy

  • i sure as hell know i wouldnt be living in the houses next to it

  • @monk228938sr

They changed the address of the house to prevent people coming to sight see their house.

  • @monk228938sr

They changed to the address to prevent people coming to sight see their house.

  • I hope next time you go, they have your ass arrested.

  • @John22133 ull get your own arrested for sayin that stupidity

  • Can't see shit.

  • @Moseslawgiver that was not the idea of the video. The idea of the video is to show the reality of the house that has been made legendary over the past almost 40 years because of murders, supposed hauntings, then movies with that legendary theme song. They were playing the music while showing the realness that is the house that actually exists. It is quite eery, but you don't have the intellect to make this connection, obviously.

  • check the adress, its 112 not 108. lol

  • They had the address changed to deter tourists from driving past the house. Which is a good idea if people aren't smart enough to look on the even side of the street between 106 and 118.

  • @monk228938sr they changed it to 108.

  • c'est les lumiéres de la rue qui font ça

  • i cant see anything help me out someone pls

  • ya ppl should stay out of that house its really haunted

  • I do believe in the supernatural. I also believe in a house retaining the energies of those people who lived in it before. Buildings/homes actually do take on the personality of the people/family within. Furthermore, I believe that spirits are indeed 'earthbound' if they themselves have been murdered. Dark and evil spirits are also attracted to homes, that have involved the murder of a person, or whole families. Whether you believe or not, they do exist in the shadows.

  • @wayneleon100 you're right

  • I'm hoping you didn't go back there after this...?

  • I have been back once since shooting this video last year in the day time. I live about an hour away from the house.

  • You guys should leave those poor people alone, seriously, ok? They didn't ask for any of this crap. This is why cameramen get punched out for getting up in celebrities' faces, they don't know when to leave well enough alone.

  • Comgeek we filmed this video on public property from our car. We did not tresspass and since this is the most famous hous in the whole world I don't see any harm in fiming it. If Brian Wilson the current owner of this house doesn't like it he shouldn't have bought a house of this fame. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen!! For godsakes get out!! LOL

  • everybody can see you know who lookin back at 0:43.

  • sorry to say that is just the car moving and the light makes it look like the house is looking back at you

  • What ever it is it was wild! We even caught the image in our still digital pictures

  • i dont see anything lol just shadows i do belive in paranormal but i mean come on even if there is somthing there it was no ghost it was a demon lol u guys r silly =p

  • Yes we can see a with shadow inside . I don't' trust in gost , but if you take a look I guess it is

  • Billybass: yeah, I agree with you. I honestly don't believe it was ever haunted. But it was so odd that the Lutz's bought a house with furniture that still had blood flecks on it from a homicide. ALL of the furniture was the Defeo's furniture! CREEPY even if you don't belief in hauntings. He was a handyman (couldn't really afford the neighborhood). Mabye he left because he couldn't pay the bank at the end of the month not 'cause it was haunted although it sound better to say it's haunted.

  • i wish i hadnt bought that damned house now

  • lives there somebody or why is the light on?!

  • The Lunz family moved into the house with most of the Defeos furniture as well as the same flooring, paint and wall paper. So much of their energy was left behind which was why they had these experiences. Once the house was repainted and renovated the energy left. This is why no one has reported any problems since. Considering the murders happened almost 35 years ago yes I would live there. Its a nice house.

  • your gunna need more proof. cant see a thing

  • Nice typing. Ever heard of spellcheck?

  • That's a beautiful house, but I wouldn't live there. Even if it wasn't haunted, there's something about sleeping in a room where people were murdered that makes me a little uncomfortable.

  • if i bought the house i would restore it to the way it was back in 1974

  • @Midnightryder7 Why?

  • If I had bought that house I would invite people in for tea and sandwiches..hehe.

  • It's not that the house is haunted that scares people, it's what happened in the house. People just imagine this stuff because of what happened there. I wouldn't want to sleep in the same bedroom as someone who got murdered there.

  • dude the fuckin thing is haunted in 1980 (or some date around that time) 2 people went in there all night with infrared video cameras and they saw the little boy that got killed there.... look up amityville horror ghost pictures.

  • if the boy is dead how come he is there ? lol doesnt make sense does it ?

  • his ghost was there. what when you get murdered a very bad way you excpect to stay dead or move to the other side? no, when someone dies a tragic death they stay on earth until they are avenged or the place where they are changes forever. then the spirits can move on.

  • i saw the picture , it looks fake "made up", thats just a kid with glasses on , the only thing tht happened there is that defeo killed his whole family then the lutz created this whole ghost thing for money purposes ! , nothing has happen to the next 3 families that moved in , how can u explain da ? one thing is for sure : 6 people were killed ovethere i would not live in the house , not even for free, thanks for reading

  • @giancarlos119 uhhh, ever heard of ghosts..?

  • bs. i live down the street, its some kid who watched a war movie whil he was drunk, which he was an alcholic o he thought he was in war killed the family. this was it not 5 fucking familtys different times i know the family that lives there

  • @WordOfTheDay69

Dude he was a heroin junkie and took Acid. Alcohol may make you a lush or a complete stupid violent asshole but it doesn't make you think you are in a war or some BS.

Some people think his mental instability and his drug dependancy made him weeak and allowed the demons to take possession of him. Not my theory but that's a far cry from alcohol induced homicidal hallucinations LOL.

  • Dude, I believe its haunted, but I dont see anything creepy in this vid.

  • agreed =]

  • it is not haunted... a sick guy kills his hole family, thats all that happened

  • i dare you to spend a night in there

  • i'd so spend a night there, it would be awesome

  • yeah right....

  • @soyelfelipe93 I dare you to spend a night in Oakland. Now that's scary.

  • @joshua81em the Amityville Horror House is in oakland?..no chance xD

  • @soyelfelipe93 I didn't say the house was in Oakland. Guess you didn't get the joke. LOL

  • @soyelfelipe93 Id sleep in there, why not? Nobody since the Lutz's has had a problem in that house.

  • @BIGFOOT425 is someone living there? cause the last time i went i think it was like lets say llike 2 years ago or i dont remember the house was closed with alot of yellow stripes, i thought they closed the house sence the second family that lived there started to have problems too

  • @slo25224 yeah, people just recently moved in a few years ago, the people before them didnt last long... must be all the people who sit infront of their house... it annoys me trying to drive down the road and idiots taking pitcutres

  • @BIGFOOT425 so there were to fa,ily who had problems :D

  • @soyelfelipe93 Fuck I would in a heartbeat

  • @soyelfelipe93 i wouldnt go in their for a thousand dollars for one night no way in hell

  • @treter159, I would go in the house for a thousand of dollars. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? It's not like you are gonna die or something.

  • @soyelfelipe93 someone lives there.

  • @weirdone17 yeah right...

  • @soyelfelipe93 I bet the freaking Wolverine wouldn't be able to do that lol

  • @soyelfelipe93 Give me a hundred bucks and we got ourselves a deal. ;)

  • @soyelfelipe93 Lol. That's what I say every time someone says "this isnt scary" or "doesnt even have the POTENTIAL to be real"

  • @soyelfelipe93 you got it it name the time

  • boooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnngggg

  • the people who live around this house are crack pots and go crazy at you even if you drive by lol....obviosuly its a famous spot and people want to check it out.

  • I know. The neighbours are completely idiotic.

If they don't like the heat, they shouldn't go into the kitchen. Simple as that.

People are gonna want to see this house, because...um...IT'S THE MOST FAMOUS HOUSE IN THE WORLD!

  • well technically the white house is but yea other than that i totally agree with u

  • you should've gone there at 3:15 ;-)

  • I can't see anything. Maybe shoot the video in the daytime?

It's still good. I'm getting goosebumps watching this.

  • This...Thanks for uploading something with really shitty video quality fuck did you use windows movie maker?

  • I believe it's at 2:03 in the upstairs window on the right

  • umm evanguy sir can u tell me where u see the face? please

  • dude ive been there alot, that house has alot of ghost, 4real i've seen one.

about 4 years ago somebody moved out real quick, it waz on the florida news. i couldnt belive it, but ive sen it so many times & its allll so true..... that house is real real bad.......

  • tht was filmed on my bday lol kinda scared now

  • Why is everyone photographing this house from inside their car? They are so scared that they will be attacked by the neighbors! LOL.

  • There is nothing wrong with this house its fine trust me i live a few houses away

  • have you ever been inside?

  • I think the scariest thing about that place is the "red room." I don't know much about the story, but I saw the ending of the movie and the red room creeped me out. I would never go into the basement. Unless I was with someone, but still. . .

  • The Red Room was destroyed on purpose during renovations. The people who own the house have absolutely no regard for history and nor does the town where the house is concerned. It's a shame really, but the people who live around it are a bunch of raving-mad assholes. Many towns would welcome an abiding tourist attraction such as this, especially as the years pass and those who actually lived through it leave or pass on. I'm not minimizing the tragedy, but it's been a life time.Lighten up, people.

  • I can't understand on how you don' t see the face in the boat house. Again its not on the house but on the boathouse. We even froze the frame and zoomed up on the image. Look at the .29 second mark to the .46 mark. At the .44 second mark we even zoomed up on the face. Keep in mind the two eyes and nose can be seen on the garage doors on the boathouse and the mouth is reflected on the driveway.

  • da ist nix

    theres nothing

  • i dont really see anything

  • I can't see anything......

  • The music was a nice touch. I kept thinking something was gonna come out and make me scream. The face was kinda cool. I'd have been freaked out and as far as the current owner not wanting publicity, he should've known better than to buy the famous house.

  • First of all, there was no tresspassing or laws broken in the filming of this video. We were on a public street. Secondly it is the most famous house in the United States. If Brian Wilson (Owner) wanted his privacy then he shouldn't have bought such a famous house!

  • I wasn't disputing any of that information at all. I simply stated that if it was me seeing that for myself I'd be freaked. And I completely agree with your statement about Brian Wilson. If he didn't want the publicity then he shouldn't have bought it! :)

  • the White House is more famous
