Thanks for making this, It was very useful for my mother who is very sick and crocheting is the only thing she enjoys to do anymore and she couldn't remember how to make these. With that being said. when i was loading this for her my 4 year old walked by and said. " who is that mommy and why is her boobies showing. lol

great idea! it occurred to me that yo ucould probably utilize the other sides of the cd too with sticks less far apart for smaller pompoms :)

Um call me crazy but couldn't you do the same thing by wrapping the yarn around your hand? Besides, it says this is a kid's craft but I would never let my kids near a hot glue gun.

@logiclovr The crafts are of two types the crafts that moms make for kids and the crafts that are for kids to make I have the two types since moms also watch :) they use the pompoms for games, toys and so on so moms can make them rather than buy them. regarding the fingers. Please do try to tie the yarn in the fingers in one hand and try to make the knot and let me know how it goes :) hehehe as for me this is easy for me to do with free hands :) and without paying lots of money :)

LOL never thought it would be another easier way to make a pom pom! I use the 2 cardboard rings and wrap around yarn technique myself!!! Thanks for this lovely tip :)

@ENTROPHE $15 dollars! outch! thanks for sharing! and that is exactly why I made this! also depending on what you attach to the cd you can get different pompom sizes. The latest I made with 2 cds and 4 poscicle sticks with different distances in between the sticks :)

Brilliant, I racked my brain working out how to make this for kidergarteners and ended up using popsicle sticks in plaster of paris this is much better and I have billions of cd's

with difficulty, i poured the plaster into silicone cup cake moulds, then put the popsicle sticks inside and held them up with another stick (stop them falling) and waited for them to dry. Was a real pain to do, thanks for this idea

when you do it with your fingers it might not come out even plus it hurts if it is too tight I can make the pompoms way way faster with this :)

Did you see what I did with it??? A cup in a ball game. You can be a dude and still use this... If you have several colors of yarn you can make a hacky sack which I used for practicing soccer :) so you can find many uses for this :)
