i'm thinking twice about going into the army, I'm part of that generation were I can trace my great great great grandfather back to the civil war....So I feel an obligation because of ancestors in WW1,2 Korea and my father who was in vietnam. but I am thinking twice about this.. I can go off to college with a 3.5 gpa and come out with a very high paying job or an enlisted infantry man who's maken 16 grand and the enemy is invisable.Were not even fighting a regular army in afganistan

But still you don't count all the men who have families and if your an enlisted man you can't have your family living on base so all that money goes home to them. An 11b Infantrymen gets nothing out of the army except glory and even that is taken from him.

And a family man has no business being homeless, since his family would be there to help him. It is the single men who are on the street. It is these single men that should not have drunk their wages and banked it when they have no other large expenses like a kid who lives at home living with his parents. @doubleestark Most if not 90% of the army are trigger pullers.... with no education because they can't afford one... there are tons of men in there late 30's early 40's who are signing up becuase they lost there jobs. and Most of these men who have fought for our country have a hard time readjusting into society, Just imagine your superior officer control of your life in the army and then your a civilian and you have to pay bills take care of yourself. there's no standard procedure for living
@drtgreatwhites 2007 1/3rd of the homless were veterans! about 200,000 every night... I didn't found newer numbers yet but they already said 2007 that they except a rising number of iraq/afghanistan veterans getting homeless...
