Of course God doesn't hate people. He hates the sin. There is a difference. Lev. 18:22 God tells His priests: "Do not lie with men as you lie with women. It is an abomination." Therefore, homosexuality is a sin. Get Jesus. Get deliverence. And, then God can let you into heaven. Otherwise, you will go to Hell. There is no in between. Now, God does not want you to go to Hell. That's why He sent Jesus. But, you have to accept salvation, and make Jesus - who is God in the flesh - Lord of your life.

What many call "distortion" and "twisting" is too often just a different Biblical interpetation. Just because it's more recent dosen't make it false any more than the long accepted interpetation of another makes it true. Mary Magdalene was thought to be the prostitute that washed the feet of Christ with her tears because of a long accepted scriptural MISinterpetation finally corrected by the Catholic Church in 1969. Only our Lord can know how many more such accepted mistakes there could be.

You can take two verses from Leviticus (yet ignore the rest) and a few words from Paul (who never met Jesus Christ) which are taken out of context or mistranslated and use that to justify a condemnation of ten percent of the population. God does not hate the person for being gay. the bible tells us that homosexuality is a sin, but so are things we consider "normal," like cursing, sex before marriage, and simply not loving everyone. Therefore, homosexuality is a sin. Get Jesus. Get deliverence. And, then God can let you into heaven. Otherwise, you will go to Hell. There is no in between. Now, God does not want you to go to Hell. i was shown once the verse that most preachers or gay haters go to in the bible talking about how there were gay acts in sodom, but i learned homosexuality that we know of today wasnt too well known till the 17th century. that verse saying bring out your men so they could have sex with them was a power thing. not a homosexual thing. What many call "distortion" and "twisting" is too often just a different Biblical interpetation. Just because it's more recent dosen't make it false any more than the long accepted interpetation of another makes it true. Mary Magdalene was thought to be the prostitute that washed the feet of Christ with her tears because of a long accepted scriptural MISinterpetation finally corrected by the Catholic Church in 1969. Only our Lord can know how many more such accepted mistakes there could be.

@thepastormike - Neither God nor the Bible "hates" gay sex. You can take two verses from Leviticus (yet ignore the rest) and a few words from Paul (who never met Jesus Christ) which are taken out of context or mistranslated and use that to justify a condemnation of ten percent of the population. Isn't that exactly what the Pharisee's did? What distinguishes you from the Pharisee?

God does not hate the person for being gay. the bible tells us that homosexuality is a sin, but so are things we consider "normal," like cursing, sex before marriage, and simply not loving everyone. God sees these all as the SAME. yet He forgives every single person who sins because He loves us all.

We are supposed to be a people of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,goodness,faithfulness,gentleness,&self-control. However we both know that rarely happens. SIGH.

we all have a proclivity toward sin. Some people have been compulsive liars since they were 2 or 3 years old. Others have been thieves since a young age; it is still sin. I in no way support or endorse such heinous behavior. On the contrary, I do not think I am speaking any hatred. I am telling people that God does NOT hate homosexuals, and neither should we.

Plenty of sermons on homosexuality out there from the pulpit.Not many on self fulfillment as the mind imagines people in their imaginations that are not part of their flesh.
So much more could be included in this.
We need to be thankful beyond explanation of the grace God exhibits towards us as believers.

if jesus says believe in him and be repentant, & you'll go to heaven, it doesnt matter what anyone else said, its true.
jesus isnt a messenger, he is god. whilst leviticus was written by mortals, jesus' voice reigns supreme as the word of god

Of course God does not hate homosexuals. The Lord does not hate anyone. Hatred in man's conceit, borne from the delusion that everyone must be exactly the same (i.e., like the haters), or else they are "wrong". But, of course, God created diversity because He wanted and wants us all to be unique individuals, not carbon copies of each other. To those who claim that God "hates" gays, blacks, Jews, left-handies, red-haired folks, or whomever...well, you don't know Jack, let alone the Lord.

thepastormike, You are CORRECT. God does not hate "homosexuals", there's really no such thing. He hates only the sin. All sexual proclivities, moral and immoral, are BEHAVIORS, not an identity. Therefore no one is born a "sexual behavior", people are born with a FREE WILL. God condemns all sexual immorality like any other sin, and even heterosexuality can be sinful, so God has guidelines concerning that. But He gives us victory in His Son, Christ the Savior. I know what you're saying. :)

If armaggedon or the rapture or a natural disaster happened or if a baby simply died that baby would go to heaven automatically it doesnt matter if they werent baptized because even Jesus himself wasnt baptized until his thirties. there is no limbo and the divine commedy by Dante Alligieri isnt real. I am gay! I know what it is and God revealed to me what we need to know. Those desires are natural to us, it is normal but all sin is like that just certain people just have a harder time with this sin. So people are sort of gay and are doing it on and off. So It is a sin that is more spread out than what we really think

God gives people free will to do what they choose noproofforjesus. He wants us to love him because we want to, he does not want to force us to love him. That is why evil exist in the world because God gives man the free will. Life is our trial and God is the judge to see if we are worthy to be with him. God is a loving and forgiving God and he loves you too so much more than his children he already has that he would send us all out to save you. He does love you.
