  • Thank you for making these videos! I am writing a novel that partly takes place in the Victorian era and this will greatly help me with my descriptions of the womens outfits!

  • Thank you!!! I loved your videos! Well done!

  • i'm so happy i get to wear my jeans, t-shirt and vans everyday - much more comfortable :)

  • love it :3

  • today women dress like cheap sluts - sex slaves for the boogieman. but the corsette is like today's breast implants kind of pathological

  • I never knew at how much I dress like this. I have long skirts and dresses, and use petticoats. All I need is a corset! :3

  • wonderful presentation. Thanks...If I'm ever in Nevada I will definately visit.

  • DairyAir :)

  • I want to go there...

  • That was awesome, thank you

  • I wish we still dressed like this. Imagine long time from now, people will be looking at what we wear. :)

  • @xXBugglezXx

Which begs the question of what atrocities they will wearing in the future. ;P

  • @xXBugglezXx and how can we sit down then? It's so hard to sit in that kind of dress, and imagine when we had to tight our belly like that, I dont think I will be able to feel comfortable in that dress, even though the color and the style is so beautiful. No, Im happy that we can get out of that way of wearing our dress

  • @CorneliaBui It's quite easy to sit dressed like that-- you've just got to steady the hoop skirt with your hands and hold it to the side. Though I'm no expert, I had to wear a full on Victorian outfit for a musical I was in. I was comfortable, but I cannot speak for everyone.

  • @OfWebsAndChocolates did you wear a corset ? Even when you tighted it that hard, you still can feel comfortable ? Iam sorry, I have never wore any Victorian dresses, but seeing the way people wear it makes me think its so uncomfortable.

  • @CorneliaBui Corset and everything, yes. No, no-- No need to be sorry. Perhaps I am just strange. Also, you need to think that the woman back then would have wore some type of corset as young as four, so it is a gradual thinning of the waist... I did feel faint, but not uncomfortably so, only because it was my first time dressed in a corset. They, on the other hand, were very used to it to the point where, as the very kind guide said, they felt uncomfortable and unable to move without a corset.

  • Gotta love the Gibson girls with their S curves~ :)

  • Lovely series of videos !! I love it.

  • 2:06 I love all those dresses!! 5:40 that's a pretty dress! ^-^ but I still would not wear a corset to fit into it O.o

  • I live in the island Lillie Langtry was born in and Ive been to the house she grew up in. When I was litte everybody used to say that her ghost was in the opera house so every time i went to the theater I used to look around to see if I could find her.

  • A successful draw to the museum!

  • I love this tutorial and I was able to hear the entire video :). Thank you this will be very helpful to me.
