If your ipod has a gps radio built in then you dont need internet connection. It works like a notmal sat nav using the built in gps reciever.

Check your ipod model and see if it has this and you should be fine.

Just make sure to buy an in car charger as it drains the battery.

Well i got a question.. I have an Ipod.. but how can i use it as TomTom? Does it need internet for a gps signal? Cause than it's useless..

I downloaded the torrent and added to my itunes, but when I tried to sync it to my jailbroken ipphone 4 a message read "The app US CA MX was not installed on the iphone because it was not signed."

when i downloaded/installed it draged it into itunes, whenever i tried using it, i had no gps signal.
