  • Guy used to be so cool. Now he's a prick.

  • idk why you keep pointing out this "BOTH legs" thing. when you say someone played badly with BOTH legs it's usually to point out that they were fully healthy and STILL performed poorly. obviously wasn't the case since he had a pretty brutal hand injury that usually takes a full season to recover from but he refused to be taken out of the lineup because the whining annoyed him so much that it motived to play through the pain.

  • competitive sports are full of verbal slams and whoever takes words as if they're sticks and stones and retaliates by delaying the game has very little self control

  • he is the man.saw him dancing for a minute today at busch stadium.

  • Go Cardinals!!!! way to shut up this fool

  • @tuckb9 it was already bad enough that yadier molina reacted the way he did when phillips was going through his normal routine tapping the umpire and catcher on the shin guards. if someone says you're a whiney bitch and then you go and whine about being tapped on the shin guards that makes it look like phillips was right about saying it in the first place.

  • @hobogun Yadi didn't whine to the media like BP did! Instead he confronted Phillips like a man, face to face in front of the Reds home crowd! Then homered in his next at bat. That's not whining. It shut BP up and there's a designated grownds crew member picking up the pieces to BP's ego this off season which is still strewn around home plate. Phillips went 2-15 with BOTH his legs the Reds cant beat the Cardinals, BP was all talk, obviously, now he doesn't talk. Which is smart of him. Lol.

  • @jcdixon97 confronted phillips like a man? you're slow in the head if you think delaying a game and causing a ruckus that almost injured several players is confronting someone like a man. BP simply said what he said because the amount of whining(carpenter yelling at his shortstop, pujols complaining to an umpire about BP moving around too much at 2nd base while pujols was trying to concentrate at the plate) had gotten ridiculous.

  • @hobogun If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough. Phillips is only one of these. Yadi didn't whine, he stood BP up in the middle of Cincinnati then homered. What does BP care if Carpenter teaches his shortstop a lesson? It's none of his business, Carpenter is a leader of the team, it's what leaders do when idiots like Ryan don't focus. What you don't know is Brendan Ryan had several mental lapses in the season leading up to that, it was the final straw for Carp. Ryan is now gone.

  • @jcdixon97 The problem with BP and now Cincinatti fans in general is, you think you BP should be able to say and do whatever he wants without reprecussion. He, nor the Reds had earned that right. Now he doesn't say much, which like I said before, is probably smart of him. If you can't back it up, just don't say it.

  • @jcdixon97 what do you mean if you can't back it up? i think yadi's reaction backs it up plenty. BP said he hates how they are a bunch of whiney b*****s. BP never said "hey we are better than them and we're gonna beat them and I'm gonna crush the ball even though i have an injured hand." All the whining frustrated him on top of his hand injury which destroyed his hitting for the better part of the end of the season. it takes a TON of immaturity on yadis part to take what BP said to heart.

  • @hobogun You missed the point. He's sick of losing to the Cardinals, he was trying to get in thier heads and it backfired, bigtime. He said he would beat us on ONE leg. Hahah, he went 2-15 in the series with BOTH legs. He thought he could get away with it. Yadi didn't go whine to the media and and as a result BP doesn't make reduculous curse-laden comments in the media anymore. You're acting like this was the first ever baseball brawl. It wont be the last, well, probably BP's last one.

  • @hobogun Don't even act like what Phillips said is your everyday verbal slam, it was way over the top and even cable tv had to bleep it out. He got what he deserved in front of his home crowd. No one in baseball blamed Yadi for getting in his grill. I don't even think Terrell Owens had ever said anything so stupid.

  • @jcdixon97 idk why you keep pointing out this "BOTH legs" thing. when you say someone played badly with BOTH legs it's usually to point out that they were fully healthy and STILL performed poorly. obviously wasn't the case since he had a pretty brutal hand injury that usually takes a full season to recover from but he refused to be taken out of the lineup because the whining annoyed him so much that it motived to play through the pain.

  • @jcdixon97 the reporter initially asked a question of why he was playing despite the hand injury... BP said "I'd play them with ONE LEG" as a figure of speech. I personally think he ruined his career by not letting his hand recover and don't think he'll ever be a good hitting 30-30 second baseman ever again thanks to dusty, yet again ruining ANOTHER player by playing them instead of resting them when they're injured. mark prior*cough

  • @hobogun Yeah one leg and we swept them anyway with Two Brandon Legs. That's what I meant if you cant back it up don't say it. Bottom line- he popped off in the media and Yadi rattled his cage, then the Reds got swept and BP is quiet. Dont forget Kerry Wood, he's still pitching but only marginally effective. Jocketty has done a good job but can you imagine how good the Reds could be if only they had a decent manger, like Gardenhire, LaRussa or Leyland, Holy Crap! Brewers concern me now tho.

  • @hobogun If I were Leake I would be terrified right now, playing for Dusty "give me 138 pitches tonight" Baker. He nearly got ruined last year already. That's not a slam on Cincinnati, just Baker.

  • Great Song for the First team of Baseball.
