Cool, Mitchell and Phoebe Clay are my ancestors. I belong to a group up North and have gone on a few ghost hunts. I would love to visit this site at some point.
We just did a excellent investigation there tonight and everything you hear about Lake Shawnee is DEFINITELY true, it IS haunted, we had a very wild experience, the spirits welcomed us full force tonight, go check it out for yourself, you WILL NOT be disappointed!
I can stand in my parents yard and see Lake Shawnee. I grew up there. Went to school at Spanishburg. I fished at Lake Shawnee when it was all grown over and abandoned. I'm telling you now the only thing scary about Lake Shawnee is what they charge you to catfish there.
Ive seen strange blue flashes that were very intense in the daytime there and smelled smoke from a campfire altho there were no campfires burning. This has been reported by others too.I was there for a catfish tournament and had no prior knowledge of the places reputation and am a paranormal skeptic but feel there is definately something going on there .
@timmyphlly411 this is all we got from that night, but we were only there one night...we'd love to go back out again. It was absolutely worth the long trip and the money we paid to spend the night. The owner is a real nice guy (to anyone who doesn't illegally trespass on the property or disrespect the area) and we suggest everyone to go and experience this place for yourselves.
@onehandpass79 Thats a little odd, but sometimes the paranormal can be like that. I'm surprised that NOTHING happened at all. What kind of equipment did you have? Did you try the swings like Gaylord said? How long did you stay there?
I encourage everyone to go check this out for themselves, but make sure you talk with the owner. He's a nice guy, but he's not nice to trespassers. You will have to pay to camp-out, but if you get a small group together and split it, its not so bad. I promise its worth the money too. I drove all the way from Indiana just to see this place.
We went thru a long, cold(very cold) and creepy night to get this stuff. It's all real. Obviously edited for time, but nothing has been added or removed. Let us know what you think, we may be investigating some more paranormal places and incidents.
