  • Using N Rage - Purple Plum is a shifty subject, the dye indicates its going to be a rich plum like a thick purple haze ( a manic panic color)BUT its not... if u put it over DARK hair it will appear blue/black!, OK! get a strong shampoo and start your washing, if u can shampoo the dyed part once a day and DEEP CONDITION!, you may jump over the RE-bleaching step, I'm currently IN this process so ill post a reply of my experience with N RAGE PLUM! well see....

  • When you bleached your hair.. How light was it? I used Purple Plum on my hair after I bleached it, and it came out soo dark :(

  • i just dyed my hair with this. If anyone wants to check out the results i have a video on my channel. But i mixed some conditioner with mine because i didnt want it to be so dark. Still a very pretty color.

  • Oh! I'm glad it fades into normal purple xD

  • its n'rage if you read the section you got it from in the store it's a semi. yes the bottle says "demi-permenant" but trust me it's NOT. it'll wash out especially if you dont use color defending shampoo, within 2-3 washes (you'll start to notice fading after the first wash)

  • @yukihirotsukasu yes, you can see the color coming out in the first few washes, but after that, the color seems to stay in during washing and the purple in my hair usually lasts a few months!

  • @yukihirotsukasu I used N'Rage early in the year (2011) and it stayed for 5 months with one dye, and i washed it with normal shampoo such as SexyHealthyHair and Head and Shoulders.

It all depends on the person and the hair.

Mine never faded, but i had to take it out for personal reasons.

  • Actually love the way it looks when the purple fades! I'm going to try bleach my black hair myself sometime soon - did you find after bleaching, that you had to use toners/re-bleach it to get it more lighter so you could slap on the purple dye on top? Or did you find it OK to bleach once, then the coloured dye? Thankies! x

  • @ffsstupidusername bleaching it just once was fine for me, but after several months and a couple of re-dyes, I had to re-bleach my hair. you're welcome!

  • silly question but, if i want to go back to my normal hair color, i should just dye it black(over the purple) right?

  • i just dyed my hair with this dye, and

i really didn't like how dark it was.

so in my case, i'm glad it's fades pretty quickly.

  • I have a question...did you dye it yourself or did you go to an actual salon? =/ Or is there no difference?

  • @Ace7366 i dyed it myself. i think that if you know how to do it, it is the same as getting it done at a salon, but much cheaper (:

  • I dyed my hair purple too and when it started to fade(i have all these colors in my hair now still exept purple) it turned dark purple, then indigo, then blue, the light blue, then turquoris, then green, now light green, now the ends are white.(i beached it before dying it).Everyone else says its suppose to turn light thn pink???Is this normal???

  • @DarkAnime401 I have NEVER heard of that happening before! that's really cool, actually. how long does everything last before turning light green?? i have some light green strands, but that's because i used to have turquoise hair!

  • @thatswhatcindysaid aftr the first two three washes it turned darker purple into indigoe and blue...the then few it turned into light blue, turquoris, n green....now aftr a mounth or so it green, light green and white(little yellow from the bleached hair under the color)

  • @DarkAnime401 my purple always just gradually fades into lighter purple and eventually pink. but usually the whole process takes about 3 months, so yours goes pretty fast, if you can see significant differences in two or three washes. maybe it's the brand of dye you use?
