ive put a a ball valve on and it does 100 % make it quieter but then you reduce flow to the sump... and in my case the sump would run half dry causeing tons of bubbles ... i know i could reduce flow of pump but that would be pointless..

In this video you are only testing the box..Until you get it plumbed there is no way to tell how much noise you will have.
