A singing lesson. A voice so rightly "placed" that he can do whatever he wants with it, without any sign of effort. It's a shame nowadays singers don't know the right way of producing the sound. That's why you hear only "pushy" voices; I mean, voices which struggle to get out of the singer, with an annoying quality.
Gedda himself hailed Bjorling as his maestro which he could never reach (overall).
Bjorling is considered a unique tenor because his technique allowed him to sing virtually any song! 99,99% consider his Ingemisco a truly masterful rendition.
That leaves your opinion among the 0,01% vivegedda...
Maybe you had an "offday" when you wrote your comment vivegedda?
Or maybe you are just "another Troll- That is more likely.
@maxhansendk Yes, Gedda IS that generous and truly humble and thankful asartist and man. But... Gedda's ethereal tones, overall balance, self-control and career stamina is a lesson to Bjorling. They ARE different singers. I personally give a hoot about 99,99% anything (sounds like Saddam Hussein's election results).
You should make that 0,02, because i don't buy that!
Gedda was also a superb "Messiah" tenor. After hearing that recording, it's hard to believe that English was NOT Gedda's first language (I believe it was his third or fourth, but don't know for sure:)); he sings clearly and beautifully without a discernible accent. Gedda was/is an extraordinary artist. May God continue to bless him:) --
The elegance, the diction, the power and the ringing beauty of this voice! So perfectly suited to oratorio (as well as almost every other form of classical singing).
First time I listen to a famous tenor singing this piece not as an opera aria but like what it is... an oratory.

Exemplarisch, eine einzige Lektion in bewußtem Singen und tief beseeltem Gesang. Ich kann meinem Vor"Redner" Astrdamors nur zustimmen......

Sorry Gedda, I love your singing very much! But in this aria Bjorling is on an other planet altogether!
Very good still.
Listen to Jussi Bjorling in this aria. You will not believe your ears! He is that good!
