@oviontube it can help the wave process yes, just don't leave it in too long or the hair will be str8. just a quick lite texturizer and then a lil activator after and whatever u wanna use to hold the waves should be cute. i used to use mousse. that's how i wore my waves back in the day

@MultiLeeC it will extend the wave that is already in your hair. for example: my hair has a tight "afro puff" type curl when it is not texturized. and when it is texturized is is more loosely curly. if you hair is very loosely curled, or wavy it may make it str8....be helpful if u have a pic u could inbox me a link to

@jarryd1295 until you see the S wave pattern or a wave pattern forming in the hair. on the pack it says 20-25 mins max...that's total application time...not sitting time alone. now for most ppl it doesnt take 20-25 mins. i personally think thats a bit long. usually for me, 10 mins. 15 at most...and that's only if the hair is coarse. what you dont want is to leave it in too long and it gets str8....watch for that by watching the pattern

@swagggggchef2014 if u mean that it did take and when is the next application to make it look fresh again, i say whenever the hair looks like it's returning to it's "natural" state. for me that was maybe 2 weeks...the box says 1 month i think. but you know everyone is different. just make sure not to over texturize ...you dont wanna make the hair str8

@scarecrow018 dont use plastic cap use a cotton scarf or satin cap/scarf. or doo rag. some ppl say that a cotton scarf sucks the moisture out but that's what i use cause satin slides

I just want to thank you for your S-Curl series. You have explained it all in layman's terms and also used good visuals as to what to do, and what the graduating results should be.

EXCELLENT information. I'm glad I watched this. I learned some very important info. I didn't know there is a maximum strength texturizer, or that the hair should NOT be combed through while the chemical is in the hair or immediately after the process is finished. I like the points you made. It seriously helps.

@enraged2 ty. (ps, you can comb the chemical through, while processing you just wanna be careful about hard combing or brushing after a chemical treatment because it is fragile. ....let it "set" for a while after the process...) meanwhile, im glad it helped!

Question. I'm considering using a texturizer on my hair. My curls of my natural hair texture are somewhat looser than typical African American hair. The S pattern that you told us to look for while the texturizer is in your hair is the same pattern that my makes if it's just wet or has something in it. I don't want to accidentally straighten my hair. What do you suggest I do to prevent this from happening?

@FreeDumbMusic make sure you are applying some type of curl activator like scurl no drip or one of your choice. u r gonna have to probably reapply throughout the day until it stays the way you want it
