Randy is the "Real Deal"! Not only the impersonator but this guy is a true guitar virtuoso! Saw him in Philly years ago and was blown away by all the close as you can get Hendrix tribute show including one incredible Woodstock version of the Star Spangled Bannner! You have to understand how hard it is to imitate the best electric guitarist to ever live, so even trying is to set oneself up for defeat, so you have to give him credit for he is fairly true to Jimi's sound. I saw Hansen way back in the Lone Star club in Manhattan back in the late seventies. This is very good. It is taking one's own abilities and trying to stretch them up to reach Hendrix. Few can do it.

Seit 1993 hab ich Randy 16x erlebt. Ich kenne keinen, der die Hendrix Song´s besser bringt. Er hat das Feeling aus Jimi´s Zeit. In Alzey im Oberhaus habe ich ihn zum Schluss weinen gesehn - er liebt und lebt Jimis Musik. In den 90zigern haben wir ihn mit ausgestreckten Armen durch die Halle gereicht - während er spielte - war geil.

No, you don't need to hit the strings that hard to make them sound so you won't even really mess your teeth up doing that. Plus, you're only hitting a wound string like once or twice the lower strings don't hurt at all.
