When finally reaching first chair (trombone) in orchestras I came to realize that the hottest girls in school were first chair strings :). Oh and one deaf pianist I met in summer music camp... Just maintaining a beautiful sound throughout this piece is hard enough, but there is something called, "tremelo" in this piece, and its on sixteenth notes, which are already fast, but the tremelo makes it much faster, turning them into thirty-second notes, and two thirty-seconds are played for each note, which makes playing the notes much harder.

I was totally underwhelmed with this group. I've seen far better string quartets who don't use backing tracks, although the plus point of the last chord being out of tune at least proves they were playing. The piece isn't exactly virtuosic in difficulty.

The only things separating this lot from other average quartets is a drum track, tonne of make-up and a four inch skirt. They're very marketable and some might find them entertaining, yes, but not down to their musical skill.

Electric instruments don't project the 'real' sound quite the way that wooden vibrations do. The electric projects any sound better, though, which is what I think they were aiming for.
