  • I just love you tube. Being able to see all these bands back I just to love in het 80ies. Sique Sique Sputnik. Brilliant. I remember that I was facinated by the way they looked.

  • I love the absolutely apathetic crowd. The Band looks much wilder than their music, it's almost funny.

  • cooles Stück!!

  • I had a verbal confrontation with martin (singer) at the london hippodrome in the 80`s I was all dressed up too and he complained to the staff at the star bar(VIP area) that I was up stageing him for the cameras! what a tosser, he was only cashing in on people who had the look he adopted, I also new boy george & have loads of gossip about martin cos they lived in the same house once, oh the memories!

  • @paulspydar Oh do tell of your gossip..... i'm all ears about george n martin.. I have probably heard it before but new comments are entertaining !

  • Don Letts is a legend!

  • WE LIKE THAT

  • bring back the hairspray we might get a decent summer if they use enough on tour ...

  • I remember the hype around SSS from the beginning, and seemed too quickly to burn out and become a bit of a laughing stock. So why is it, beneath the outlandish trappings, this record actually has held up pretty well, and sounds better than it has any right to ? Maybe Tony James was right all along, and BTW - Carbon Silicon are excellent!

  • ummm the drum in out of time?!!?

  • because there was 2 drummers, and they weren't very good at keeping time with eachother.

  • In the words of Rutgar Haur, 'the future is old'....

was it just me, or was there a mix with a a quote from Blade Runner where Decaard is heard to say...'but then I'd rather be a killer than a victim..'

    Great song/unsustainable energy.

  • yes there was, i think it was a extended mix or something. There was loads of quotes from the film and from memory there was one that started with a advert for 'id' magazine.

  • Neil X you fucking rock.

  • ... that nostalgia .... good old days!

unfortunately there are no more groups so!

  • sci fi sex+home computers+videogames+excitement+cramps+Suicide+clockwork orange+blade runner+rockets+tapper zukie+mad max+giorgio moroder =

ELVIS 2050 = SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK

  • to bad this wasn't the live audio!!! this whole album ROCKED!!! especially the commericals...

    Studio line!!!!

  • ... from L'Oréal!

  • Where can I get a video for Virus?

  • ORIGINAL

  • 80`s ...the best age

  • 1985 ? Impossible. This is 1986.

  • The video is filmed in June 1985 at The Electric Cinema, Portobello Road by Don Letts. It's dubbed with music from the pre-EMI demos, recorded 1983-85 (from 'The First Generation' on Jungle FREUDCD055E). They signed to EMI and released 'Flaunt It' in 1986. SSS were long in the planning; you can see them backstage working as Johnny Thunders & Heartbreakers' road crew in the DVD filmed at the Lyceum in March 1984 (on the 'Dead Or Alive' and the outakes 'Down To Kill' FREUDCD084 DVDs). So there!

  • @JungleRecords Love the two drummers!

  • cool :)

  • they were on some good drugs!! thats what made them see....THE FUTURE HAHAHA!

  • this is a studio take...not live

  • Eine regelrechte Visualisierung des Begriffs "avantgardistisch"!

Cheers und danke für den Upload!!

  • Regards from hell...

  • The 2 hit wonder group , 20 years ahead of their time,

that kicked some real ASS !!!!!

  • This video is raw. I wanna look just like Martin!!!!

Check out My video on my page, you will be happy and life will not suck as bad.

  • did he say cyber sex? this b4 the internet even, LOL

    hehee

  • Still around and kickarse. A lot of fun, I love them!

  • fanny farts

  • Coffeehouses, dont think sooo! Keny market, hyper hyper and the pub maybe, they were all tarts, apart from Neil and Tony

  • Original - Hmm - There's no such thing in RnR just your generation of Glam (Mr James would agree). SweetSweetSputnik . Check out this site for The Sweet & New York Dolls....same really just a generation b4.

  • Sputnik music style will reborn in the future generation

to come...love the 80's great songs.

  • tony james was also in sisters of mercy by the way...

the whole concept for this band was to be good looking first. tony found em all in coffee houses and clubs and taught em music after the fact...

which is why the songs lack depth but damn it was pretty cool anyway lol

  • SSS are frustrating! All that attention-getting effort in the look, but no songs! If they cant write songs why didnt they just bite the bullet and get outside songwriters!?? Pride? Stupidity? Or couldnt they tell their songs were crap?

  • The best haha, our generation is really best music generation

  • haha what a fuck was that Hhahaha

  • wow that was good

  • SSS 1st album was great. They were ahead of their time - trying to do a lot of the visual side of pop culture as well as sampling some giant riffs. Tony James was in Gen X with Billy Idol - so you can see where some of the band's look came from. The were campy and very cheeky - their album had friggin commercials on it.

  • damn i love this takes me right back too the eighties every time.

  • One of the best bands...EVER!

  • marilyyn mnsn s father?

  • actually piss flaps plus hairspray

  • piss flaps

  • Says something about me, I fear.

They've all aged dreadfully, just checked out their site.

  • "Luxury...shove that bender fist in me.."

    Hmmmm..yes, indeed.

  • Aaah, but you're fascinated enough to keep coming back! That must say something about either you; or the Sputniks. "Freako Psycho Horror Show..."

  • I saw them at the showcase gig at Abbey Road - Janet Street-Porter pushed me out of the way when they came out to take pictures on the zebra-crossing - but I forgot that line got changed to "Shove that Fender fist at me." that Martin always seemed to sing at Neal X. Tony James blew it, but what a spectacular way to go.

  • Is there any "real" live video of these guys?

  • Horrible horrible man!
