If you look back in history,this happens all the time. It happened with England, the US, Rome, France, Germany, etc. When a small group of people (in compassion to the whole of the population of which they govern) They get greedy, and want more land, money, drugs, tea, people, slaves, gold, oil, silver, opium, pot, spices, etc. Not everyone is on board too, most of Germany in WWII was not Nazi, but people that had to conform or Die. Afghanistan on all levels is absurd.When you look at all the numbers absolutely nothing adds up.When you look at the videos actually made by the soldiers and then listen to the government spiel you understand quite clearly there is a complete disconnect.Have we learned something from Vietnam?.At the very minimum not to repeat it.IF we are going into debt it should be to retool all ground transport off oil then at least we wont be building the ever increasing trade deficit
