A very satisfying performance, doing justice to many important aspects of this inexhaustible work, and showing how so many different approaches are possible. Zhukov's physical engagement and animal force offset the inevitable "studio-bound " feel. The Bechstein sound is in keeping with Scriabin's preferences. Even if I remain obsessed by Richter's demented, demonaic devilry, this is is a convincing alternative. Thank you.
